I think I'm right in saying that we first played at Loftus Road in 1917. Presumably in August, but does anyone (I'm looking at you Bushman) have the date and any match details?

I'm sorry to say Roller, that Gordon Macey does not state the first match in his Complete Record Book. Interestingly, he writes that we moved to Ellerslie Road & that it later became known as Loftus Road.
However, we started the 2017-18 season with three away games (perhaps getting the ground ready?) & the first home match was on the 22nd September at home to your local side! Palace were beaten 4-1 but no attendance is listed. The gioalscorers were Dale, Thurman & two from Fox.

So the 100 years anniversary of our first match at Loftus Road is on 22nd September this year; unfortunately a Friday but perhaps Sky will give us a match that night.
