Interesting, no reason given. Can't see why we would have recalled him, wonder if he's injured.

Yeah just read this on social med. Heavens no why.
Anyhow my take on him is like Caulker, cant really wait to get the two of them away from QPR . If the skills were as big as there egos they would be Maradonna.
Sadly stuck with both until JUNE 18.
We seem to have got a really good bunch at the minute, Ollie getting the right sorts. Long may it continue.

JET came on for the last 10 mins in his last game and was being used sparingly by the Gills recently so maybe spat the dummy and asked to be sent back?!

Seems to have been announced late last night, hoping Washington hasn't picked up a serious injury just as he has finally started to find the net.

So we have Caulker Henry Morrison and JET. Not a bad backbone for the under 23's and the way it is shaping Doughty is not forcing his way into the first team frame either unless we have a crop of injuries and suspensions. My pure speculation just for fun is: Caulker - Russian deal scuppered by his court case - sack him and save some big money. Henry - just running down his contract - no major issue now so let sleeping dogs rest as he is not costing us that much Morrison - Did Olli really want him or was this a TF or LF idea to bring an old pal crowd pleaser. Ollie has a clear profile of the sort of players he wants at the club - fit, highly committed, high work rate players with a bit of skill. Apart from the skill bit Morrison does not fit the bill. Why did we take someone on loan for the last 18 games or so knowing that he would not reach match fitness until half way through those games?. Giving him 15 minutes as a sub maybe was Ollies token offering that he had his chance. Very strange and a waste of money andLazio are laughing. JET - got off to a good goal scoring start at Gills but the goals have dried up and his game time has been getting smaller and smaller. Seems to happen wherever he goes. Maybe he left by "mutual consent". It's hard to believe (but possible) that we would have agreed a loan deal in which the player and other club could just break it and walk away at any point. I cannot see we would recall him either. We have Smith and Sylla competing up front, with Washington or N'gbakoto Freeman Mackie and Lua Lua as potential partners. I think Ollie will know enough about him that he does not need to get him back to have a look so its another strange one. All interesting but will we ever know the truth? plus apart from finance does it really matter I cannot see it impacting the first team. Caulker - Very annoying but wasn't the loan supposed to be until the end of the season? Given his previous with loans, chances are he would have been back with us in a couple of months anyway. Henry - He's done his bit for us over the last couple of seasons so I bear him no grudges. Morrison - I think it was always known he would take a few weeks to get to full fitness, could be very useful in the run-in if we haven't pulled further clear. JET - Looks like it was down to a change in manager at Gillingham. He's still registered as a Gills player until the end of the season so he can't play for us anyway. Hopefully, that means they are also still obliged to pay whatever portion of his wages that was agreed as part of the loan deal.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has returned from his loan at Gillingham …
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas returns from loan at Gillingham Striker made 35 appearances, scoring ten goals As loan was for the season, he is not eligible to play for QPR this term JAY Emmanuel-Thomas has returned to QPR from his loan spell at Gillingham.
The striker was on a season-long loan at Priestfield but, following last month’s change in manager at the Gills with Adrian Pennock replacing Justin Edinburgh, it was agreed between the two clubs that the 26 year-old would return to Loftus Road.
As the loan was for the 2016/17 campaign, Emmanuel-Thomas is not eligible to play for QPR as he remains a Gillingham-registered player.
During his time with the League One side, Emmanuel-Thomas made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring ten goals.

Unable to play for us then this season, good I say. He can still cash his cheques I guess.
Farm him out in June for one more year and say goodbye for good, stick Caulker on the same bus out. Doubt we will get a bean for either.

10 goals in 24 games is a pretty good return. I read above he had not scored in 11, so that works out to 24.

From westlondonsport. I guess this means the Gills will continue to pay him until the end of the season . www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-man-returns-loan-wont-play-rangers-seasonQPR man returns from loan – but won’t play for Rangers this seasonBy West London Sport 22/02/2017 Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has returned to QPR from his loan spell at Gillingham. The striker was on a season-long loan with the League One club but that deal has been cut short with the agreement of both clubs. However, as it was done outside the transfer window, he remains a Gillingham-registered player and ineligible to feature for Rangers for the rest of the season. The 26-year-old was the Gills’ leading scorer, with 10 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions. But he failed to score in six outings under Ady Pennock, who replaced Justin Edinburgh as Gillingham boss in January. Emmanuel-Thomas had been surplus to requirements at Loftus Road and ended last season on loan at MK Dons. He was signed on a free transfer from Bristol City in the summer of 2015 and enjoyed a purple patch early last season, scoring four goals in seven appearances while Rangers were without the injured Charlie Austin. But he fell out of favour under both former head coaches Chris Ramsey and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Apparently, there are negotiations but no contract signed with them. I still reckon he should come to the A League where he should do quite well. - Sign for the Phoenix JET.
