Let's hope Sandro doesn't! It'll cost us an arm and a leg to do that one. He'll make it just over half way towards the mic near the dug-outs but not quite have it in him to reach Sinton for a handshake. Then straight to bed for 3 days.

From the offie FOREVER R'S - SINCLAIR & SH1TTU TO BE INDUCTEDPUBLISHED 10:30 17th January 2017 by @qprfc Duo at Loftus Road this weekend ... QPR play host to Fulham at Loftus Road on Saturday Trevor Sinclair and Danny Sh1ttu to be inducted into Forever R's FORMER QPR duo Trevor Sinclair and Danny Sh1ttu will be inducted into The Forever R's Club on Saturday lunchtime, when Rangers play host to Fulham at Loftus Road. The pair will be guests of the club for the West London derby in W12, becoming the latest players to join our recently-launched ex-players' association. Sinclair joined QPR in 1993 and went on to make 190 appearances for the R's. Amongst many memorable moments during his time with Rangers, he is remembered most fondly for his spectacular overhead kick against Barnsley in an FA Cup tie in 1997, some 20 years to the day next Wednesday. In total, he made 185 starts and five substitute appearances for the Hoops, scoring 21 goals. Nigerian Danny Sh1ttu was a man-mountain of a defender at Loftus Road. The no-nonsense centre-half enjoyed two spells at Loftus Road, between 2004-2006 and 2010-2012, making 190 appearances in total. He scored an impressive 17 goals from the heart of the Hoops defence. The duo will be introduced to the R's fans at half-time during our fixture against the Cottagers. Does anyone remember big Dan being booked before the game started against Coventry or was that the effect of the alcohol?

I can recall the look on the face of Peter Ramage when he was playing against us.
Probably wrong, but I think he was substituted & left the pitch to a standing ovation, possibly for Barnsley?
I have never seen a footballer looking so humble as Peter was! Very pleased to see his inclusion.

I have never seen a footballer looking so humble as Peter was! Very pleased to see his inclusion. It was Barnsley Terry, he was on loan from Palace at the time and limped off injured with a torn thigh muscle. Despite all the excitement of QPR recording our 8th consecutive clean sheet and Charlie Austin scoring his 5th goal in 5 matches, no one had forgotten how he had struggled on for the final 15 minutes of a match when playing for us after tearing his knee ligaments because all three substitutes had already been deployed and he refused to leave the team a man short. Ramage was clearly touched by the unexpected gesture, he seemed to briefly pause to prolong the moment before limping away down the tunnel for treatment; he is exactly the sort of player that should be inducted into the Forever R's club.

It's very sensitive obviously, but I never thought much of qpr retiring the Number 31 shirt Obviously his death was very tragic

Good to see - especially as I saw all of them except Kiyan Prince in their playing days. As they have included Kiyan I would have thought that Ray Jones may be added at the same time. Ray still appears on the Offie as a Squad member with the retired no 31 shirt - maybe time and appropriate now to move on from that and add him to the Forever R's Club but leave the no 31 shirt retired as was intended. The article on the official website says that family and friends of all those been inducted will be at the game. I'd guess that wasn't possible with Ray Jones on this occasion.

There is a posting on LFW linking an article in The Sun about Dave Thomas.
In it he states that he has been invited to Rangers on 8th April (Brighton) & that will be quite emotional!
I'm assuming that Dave will be enrolled that day, especially as he said he will be on the pitch at half time.

Two worthy choices. But the real oldies are still getting pushed to the back of the bus!

Pushed to the back of the bus, or kept for the right occasion?
QPR will welcome back the stars of our 1967 League Cup winning side on Saturday when we host Cardiff City, 50 years to the day that we beat West Bromwich Albion at Wembley.
Ian and Roger Morgan, Mark Lazarus, Tony Hazell and Frank Sibley will all be in attendance, while family members of Peter Springett, Jim Langley and Mike Keen - who are sadly no longer with us - will also be present as guests of the club.
Jim Gregory (then chairman) and Alec Stock (then manager) will also be honoured as part of our celebrations of that historic achievement when the third division R’s came back from 2-0 down to beat the top-flight Baggies 3-2.
The QPR team will be wearing a special limited-edition commemorative kit for the game against the Bluebirds.
The kit will be worn for the one and only time on Saturday. Honouring the all-white strip of 1967, the kit also gives a nod to the iconic R's Hoops. Included within the thick Hoops are the names of the players, manager and chairman from QPR’s class of ‘67, as well as the date and score of the final itself.
The Morgan twins, Lazarus, Hazell and Sibley will be introduced to the Loftus Road crowd at half-time, together with the families of those individuals no longer with us.
As part of our celebrations, Sibley will also be inducted into The Forever R’s Club, while Stock and Langley will be posthumously inducted.
Gregory will be acknowledged for his incredible work as chairman of the club spanning more than two decades with a ‘Special Recognition’ award.
Tributes will also be paid to Gregory, Stock, Springett, Langley and Keen.
QPR’s Club Ambassador Andy Sinton told http://www.qpr.co.uk: “The 1967 League Cup win is one of the most historic moments in our club’s history, and it is only right that we do all we can to honour the achievement on the 50th anniversary.
“These players have put their mark on the club, and I am sure the QPR fans will welcome the opportunity to show the players, and the families of the players no longer with us, just how much they are appreciated and respected.
“It is also a fitting opportunity for us all to pay homage to the impact Jim Gregory and Alec Stock had on QPR.”

There was a very touching moment during this induction. Dave Thomas was choked full of emotion as he tried to thank those who had helped raise money for guide dogs, Andy Sinton gave him a cuddle while the crowd gave him a spontaneous round of applause. The Brighton supporters were very respectful and joined in too. It so good to know that there is still room for sentiment in this cynical age.

I think there was more applause for Dave Thomas than there has been for anyone else.
I expect that is due to his sight problems & the guide dog.
As always, the inductions were organised very well. Far better entertainment than round the pole etc.

The Dave Thomas induction was beautiful, as was the crowd reception (from all side of the ground). Really touching.

Excellent clip doing the rounds on facebook. Rs fans responded so well and loud, I think Dave was overcome. The type of player I would have paid to see even on the training pitch. Brilliant, brilliant winger.

GERRY TO JOIN FOREVER R'SFrancis to be inducted on Monday ... QPR legend Gerry Francis is set to be inducted into The Forever R's Club, our newly-formed ex-players association, on Bank Holiday Monday. Francis, who played for and managed the R's, will be a special guest of the club at our home fixture against Sheffield Wednesday on Monday afternoon. Born in Chiswick on December 6th 1951, Gerald ‘Gerry’ Charles James Francis originally joined Rangers as a schoolboy. He made his R’s debut in midfield at the age of 17 against Liverpool at Loftus Road on March 29th 1969. Francis went on to appear 352 times in two spells for us – mostly as skipper - and scored 65 goals. He was a pivotal member of the greatest ever QPR team that finished runners-up to Liverpool in the League title race of 1975/76. He won 12 full England caps whilst a Queens Park Rangers man and was selected as the national team’s captain. Unfortunately, his England career was curtailed by a serious back injury. Francis, who later had two spells as manager here at Rangers, will be presented to the crowd at half-time prior to taking part in a pitchside Q&A. www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/qpr-gerry-francis-the-forever-rs-club-3672518.aspx

I was there for his first full appearance -- away to Portsmouth in 1969. A 3-1 win with Gerry scoring & Ian Watson in goal!
A truly great player who would have had 100 England caps but for his back injury.
Dave Thomas one match & Gerry Francis the next. Not too bad for us old buggers!

"Home Grown" - Captain of england Pretty impressive, especially since was at a "little club"
I was there for his debut - as a sub vs Liverpool. I remember the match. Just before we went down in 68/69. Remember Marsh and Tommy Lawrence. I have zero recollection of him coming on
