Whilst the faces may be old and although there is not total 100% support for the Ollie/Bircham combination on the various MB's this is yet another new start.
Perhaps for once, we know what to expect.
We really had no idea with previous managers.......or perhaps our expectations exceeded their ability to deliver?
We expected JFH to be the next new young, exciting successful manager because we needed a new young, exciting and successful manager. We've been served up pretty (very) unsuccessful football that was turgid and boring.
We expected Harry to be a steady hand, knowledgeable in the transfer market and a shrewd tactician because that's what we needed.
We got excuse after excuse and in the end we got a dodgy knee story that is so far fetched, it could only have happened at LR.
Sandwiched in between we've had a bit of Neil and of course Chris..........
Today we start again. But one thing we know is that Ollie will set up a team that will play with a bit more passion than we've seen for a while. Birch will not allow anything less than 100% from the players.
Will the results suddenly turn around? Will we suddenly start scoring?
Who knows?
But one thing I feel for certain is that a bit of pride will be restored at Loftus Road and that's something I'm 100% happy about.
