Normally after the type of mauling that we experienced on Tuesday (and I'm only just about coming to terms with it) there is normally the 'injured animal/licking its wounds' type comments in the press........where the team that was stuffed the week before were so embarrassed and ashamed that they come out fighting and whoever they are playing next.....beware of the injured animal.
Will we be lions or pussycats on Saturday?
For anyone going.........huge respect and safe travels.

Hopefully lions. It's a very tough place to go this season, so not necessarily expecting a really positive result, but the style of performance will be telling. I don't think many people are expecting us to go there and win (but I hope so, that would be top) but I think we should be expecting a very clear reaction from the Newcastle game. Even if we don't get a result, showing effort for 90 mins, tracking back and pace would go a long way.

I think before the start of the season we would have hoped to go and get some points or a point at Huddersfield.. Lets not all drop our expections just because Huddersfield have started off ok. We need a performance and hopefully at least a point.

Well, Sunderland are The Black Cats, so we'll need a dogged performance.
Hopefully we'll be the dog's b*llocks on the night, and not just a load of b*llocks...

The 0-6 hiding may be a blessing I hope? 2nd place still up for grabs as Newcastle have a 60m Squad the Untouchables.

The 0-6 hiding may be a blessing I hope? 2nd place still up for grabs as Newcastle have a 60m Squad the Untouchables. I would rather have dodged the 6-0. I think our current team is a million miles away from a 2nd place team that usually gets 80 points or so Chaz. Teams like that are consistent, bit more like a Norwich. Look at us when Warnock was our Manager and lead us to title, hard to beat, 25 clean sheets , even under Redknapp lots of tough 1-0 gutsy performances where we just dug in to get 4th. Lets be honest here we have already only taken 1 point at home from Preston and Blackburn and let in another six goals in our next home game to Newcastle, which was over a fifty year home thumping record. Thats not a team finishing in 2nd place imo. We got about 60 odd points last year, first target should be to get 50 points for safety then 60 pts again or more seeing as have better players this year, otherwise we have gone backwards rather than forwards.
