QPR midfielder Ariel Borysiuk is on course to return to action sooner than was expected. West London Sport recently revealed that the summer signing from Legia Warsaw had been sidelined by an ankle injury. Rangers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink subsequently confirmed the news and expected him to be unavailable for six weeks. But Borysiuk, 24, has responded well to treatment and has been given the green light to resume light training on Monday – around a week earlier than was initially anticipated. “Ariel is a couple of weeks away. The (protective) boot is off and he is due back running on Monday,” Hasselbaink said. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-wls-ariel-borysiuk-return-04082016

Brilliant news, from the little I saw of him in pre-season he'll had something else as an option in midfield.

Yeni and Ariel coming back into the fold .. The news keeps getting better!
Should some quality come in that we're not expecting then this squad is as good as we've had in years. Not expecting right back(Unfortunately ) with our captain there with perch covering both rb and lb.
Looking good! 👍

The poorest in individual skills for years, but as Leicester proved sometimes the whole is better than the sum of the parts. Let's hope that's what we get! The start is promising!

Difficult to say in all honesty, could probably do Henry's job with a bit more energy but he's a different player to everything we've got. I would say probably not at first

Disagree strongly with this sharky. There are a lot of very skilled players in this team, Smithies is in my opinion the best keeper in the league. Hall we all know is a skilled CB. Then we have players like Luongo and Cousins in midfield who are undoubtedly great players. Chery should be playing in the Prem and very well could be by the end of the year if a Prem club comes sniffing around in January. Polter has put in a lot of work and has become a good hold up striker. Far more talented squad individually IMO than last season and dare I say it even the 13/14 team

Dont forget Ngbakoto, he could be a promising player, scored alot at Metz. I am very happy with the squad if we can just sign One more winger, One more Striker. Loan out Sandro and Tozser and then they are then gone for good. And let Gladwin sit on the bench as isnt for one minute a Championship player. Leave it up to the Club if they decide to keep Caulker or not, either way ok by me. This seems the best we could really do with he budget we are working too and we would have achieved our goals for the summer I guess. Feel this squad is more than capable of getting 65 points plus. Now just do it.

Exciting - he could really give us another option in the middle.

Good to see Ariel on his way back to fitness - but I'm not pinning too many hopes on his turning the team's fortunes round on his own.
The defence needs to get back to its earlier performances and the attack needs to start firing reliably.
I've never been a fan of players speaking out as if they suddenly 'get' what they have to do, it's all so cliché and self-evident in any case.
Just go about your business quietly, efficiently and with a bit of heart.

From westlondonsport. Will be good to see him out on the park! www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/borysiuk-in-qpr-squad-wls-footballBorysiuk included in QPR squad for cup tieBy David McIntyre 23/08/2016 Ariel Borysiuk has been included in the QPR squad for their EFL Cup second-round match against Rochdale. Borysiuk has recovered from an ankle injury he suffered during pre-season and could make his debut in tonight’s game at Loftus Road. Borysiuk, 24, was signed from Legia Warsaw this summer and the defensive midfielder is keen as a key player by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink given the pressing style the Rangers boss is keen to implement.

....and more from Sky Sports www.skysports.com/football/news/11711/10548559/qpr-new-boy-ariel-borysiuk-will-make-his-debut-against-rochdale-this-evening?QPR new boy Ariel Borysiuk will make his debut against Rochdale this eveningBy Mark Crellin Last Updated: 23/08/16 12:27pm Poland international midfielder Ariel Borysiuk has been passed fit to make his debut for QPR in tonight's EFL Cup tie at home to Rochdale. The 25-year-old was signed from Legia Warsaw over the summer but has yet to feature in a competitive match after injuring his ankle in training. However, he is now available for action and manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says he will definitely feature this evening as the R's prepare for a sixth game in 16 days. Hasselbaink told the QPR website: "I have to rotate my squad, I have no choice. "But this is a good opportunity to see other people. We will try to put as strong a squad out as we can and try to get through to the next stage. "Luckily we have Ariel Borysiuk back. He can't play 90 minutes but he will be involved. And some younger players will get their chance too. "It is great for Ariel and the group that he is back. He is eager and excited to play. "He has had two injuries since he has been here - one small one, and one bigger one - but hopefully now he can stay fit and play his part." QPR needed penalties to get past Swindon in round one and Hasselbaink thinks Rochdale are also more than capable of causing problems. "They are a better side than people think," he said. "They are a good footballing side. "They have got a lot of good, young players who like to pass the ball. "They are very calm in possession, and play in a 4-1-4-1 formation, which is always very difficult to break down. We really respect them and have been impressed by them."
