I would like to keep a few of our midfielders. We have already lost Ale and Henry in midfield. Its ok getting rid of players like midfielders Hoillett and Phillips and saying there crap if you can bring in ones that are better and on better wages. From what I see of midfielders like Gladwin and Khayati, they look worse to me, more like League One players to me, not that Gladwin is a winger. Gladwin was a fair bit of money too. Khayati not played many games yet, so maybe JFH can get more out of him in a full season? If I could keep them I would have . (Hoillett, Phillips and even Ale) Hoilett has done eff all most of his QPR career and if we resign him he'll do eff all again until his next contract is due. He also doesn't want to stay here and you would think that, after all the club has been through the last few years, the main frickin lesson we should have absolutely and thoroughly learned is that no matter how good a player is if he doesn't want to be here then he's not going to be much good to us. No one says Phillips is crap, unless I'm genuinely missing something here, but his heart is probably at West Brom not Loftus Road. He's a player that should have been tearing up the Championship last season not giving one good game in 9. Again, if he wants out then let him go. Has it also not dawned on you yet that a large section of QPR fans might actually prefer to see players with less natural talent and ability who actually want to play for the club and give their all every game rather then the so called superstars with glowing CV's and massive egos who didn't give a sh*t and never lived up to their hype? I certainly wouldn't be willing to give Hoilett a huge contract at this point. I think the only way you resign him is for a discount, which would probably end up just being one year if he can't find a way to a bigger club. This was his only good season for the club and I agree it appears he was just playing hard because it was a contract year. As far as Phillips, I think he wants to be in the top flight and that probably affected him on the pitch. He certainly wasn't the player I expected this season, although the past two he was very good. On an added note, of wingers for this club, I really did like what I saw from Petrasso and think he should be given a chance. He needs to work on finishing, but he has a lot of pace.

People quickly forget 3 years of overpriced sh*te just because of a few decent performances in his contract year. I think we really need to steer well clear of this type of player and I'm disappointed that JFH even considers wanting to being this waster back.

Maybe JFH see's potential, he is only still about 24 or so I think . Maybe thinks can get more from him. If he was 100 % commited and the right deal financially, would still be ok with him staying. I know I am a small priority but for me like Phillips would keep.

From footballleagueworld and its not Sandro! footballleagueworld.co.uk/west-bromwich-albion-weighing-up-move-for-championship-star/?West Bromwich Albion weighing up move for Championship starDate: 19th May 2016 at 7:45 pm Written by: Elliott Wheat-Bowen Tony Pulis and West Bromwich Albion are targeting Queens Park Rangers star, Matt Phillips, according to an the Tamworth Herald. The full Scottish international and former Wycombe Wanderers player was one of the few positives in Queens Park Rangers’ stint in the Premier League, with his memorable goal against Crystal Palace epitomising that. With Tony Pulis confirming that Victor Anichebe and Stephan Sessegnon are both leaving the club when their contracts expire in July, Pulis has confirmed he is in the market for an attacking midfielder who can double up as a winger. One player that Pulis has been a long time admirer of is, in fact, Matt Phillips. The pacy winger could provide excellent competition for West Brom’s current wide options or fill the void left by Sessegnon. Also with Queens Park Rangers looking at least another season away from challenging for promotion, Matt Phillips may look to return to the Premier League through a move to West Bromwich Albion being a potential destination. Whether or not, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be willing to sell Phillips or not is yet to be seen but it could be a potentially taken out of his hands if Phillips attempts to force a move.

Why would we give our potentially best back to a Championship rival?! That would be madness IMO.
The only reason to do that would be if we were to make a BIG profit on the sale and I can't see that happening. For me it's selling to a Prem team or European team or keep.

If thats the case then surely we're better off cutting bait with him and getting whatever we can get to get his salary off our books?

Sources have told News Shopper that Charlton striker Watt has also attracted attention from Wolves, Bristol City and Blackburn. The 22-year-old, who signed for Charlton last January, was sent out on two loan spells this season as his future at the club became increasingly unclear. He is expected to leave the Valley this summer after the South Londoners were relegated to League One. Several Championship clubs are interested in securing his services and Watt is believed to favour a move to another English club rather than returning to Scotland. Blackburn – who took Watt on loan earlier in the year – intend to reignite their interest in the Scotland international but face competition from several Championship rivals. A former Celtic and Standard Liege forward, Watt netted three goals in three games in August but then lost his way as the problems at Charlton continued. However, he showed glimpses of his potential at Cardiff and Blackburn and is set to be the subject of intense speculation in the summer.

According to El Desmarque Vigo, Championship duo Fulham and Queens Park Rangers are both planning an ambitious move for Celta Vigo central defender Sergi Gomez. The report claims that the English duo are in talks to sign the defender, and a £4.6 million bid has been lodged by one of them as they look to make a big statement this summer. Sergi Gomez is a Barcelona academy graduate, coming up through the famous La Masia academy. The 24-year-old found first-team opportunities at the Nou Camp hard to come by, and therefore moved to Celta Vigo in the summer of 2014 and has since become a key player for the club. Gomez made 31 La Liga appearances for Vigo this past season, helping the club to a top half position. The report claims the defender has an English representative working for him and he has begun talks over a potential switch to the Championship with both Fulham and QPR. While the English second tier is no doubt a step down from La Liga in terms of quality, economically it’s more enticing for players playing in so-called smaller clubs and Gomez is reportedly intrigued by the interest.

From west london sport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-junior-hoilett-qpr-contract-2Hoilett could sign new QPR contractBy David McIntyre 24/05/2016 Junior Hoilett has indicated that he could sign a new deal at QPR after all. Hoilett, whose current contract expires this summer, previously told the club he was keen to leave and had no interest in re-signing. Rangers maintained contact with his representatives, who are looking to secure Hoilett a move to a Premier League club but have recently indicated that the Canadian, 25, could be persuaded to stay at Loftus Road. Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wants to keep Hoilett, 25, but told out-of-contract trio Clint Hill, Karl Henry and Alejandro Faurlin that they were not part of his first-team plans for next season. Hill and Faurlin have subsequently left the club, while Henry is discussing staying on. Meanwhile, QPR have had an approach for Brentford captain Jake Bidwell rejected.

From Club Call. Does that mean we'll have Sandro and Caulker with us next year?! Tiote interest could spell end for Sandro WEST BROM, UPDATED: MAY 23, 2016 4:39 PM Sandro is waiting to hear if he has a West Brom future amid claims that Albion are keen on another combative midfielder - Cheick Tiote. Albion have delayed a decision on whether to keep the ex-Tottenham star until their squad starts to take shape after the European Championships. The Brazilian midfielder spent the second half of the season on loan at West Brom from Queens Park Rangers. An option to buy the 26-year-old this summer was agreed when that deal was struck but head coach Tony Pulis and technical director Nick Hammond have not decided yet whether they want to keep him on. Pulis is also understood to want Newcastle midfielder Tiote - who may be available after the Magpies' relegation from the Premier League. Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace, managed by his former boss Alan Pardew, are also interested in his services with the player thought to be available for £4million. The 29-year-old, who is out of contract next summer, is one of a handful of first-team players expected to depart following Newcastle's drop into the Championship. The 23-year-old club captain is understood to want to leave Griffin Park and Brentford are assessing their left-back options in the transfer market ahead of his departure. The club's long-term plan is to bring through youngster Tom Field in that position, but they also want a new experienced left-sided defender to compete and aid his development. Field is set for talks over a new contract this summer after impressing on his debut in the final home game of the season. QPR, meanwhile, are understood to remain very interested in Bidwell and are preparing to return with a second approach as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink improves his squad for next season. Bidwell signed for Brentford after two initial loan spells between 2011 and 2013 and has made over 200 appearances for the club. He had held initial talks over a new contract after interest was expressed in him in January and further talks took place after the end of the season, but he is understood to have told the club of his intention to move on.
