Nope.
Predicted 10 th this year on 31/8 after I changed it from 15th when Charlie stayed etc.
Sunderland and Newcastle will be strong, Villa less so, more likely near bottom half.
Have seen a few signs of improving but still lots of stupid mistakes, far to many draws. Unless we sign 3-4 really good Championship players to improve us, cant see my prediction being any higher than 10 th again sadly, maybe even lower.

Nope, just hoping.
Can see it being very tight next season and think we'll be top ten, but where in the top ten I have no idea.
I think Les and Jimmy have done a lot of good work but the damage of the last 5 years is massive and if Les can turn it round in two years I'll be very surprised.
Once the new training ground is completed it will be a different story, but until then it's still a huge mountain of our own making to climb.
I'm very happy with the progress so far and the direction we seem to be heading in slowly though.

I'm expecting us to challenge for promotion but not necessarily get it.
Won't be upset if we don't get promoted as long as we're competitive.

Not "expecting" promotion, but it would be nice.
Having said that, we still have some players on high wages who are currently on loan that we still need to move on so another year in the Championship might be the best thing for us in the long run.

From getwestlondon an article relevant to this thread www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-star-looking-strong-pre-11146675?QPR star looking for a strong pre-season to spark promotion push next term14:00, 6 APR 2016 UPDATED 14:00, 6 APR 2016 BY DAN LONG Chery knows that the squad has underperformed and must do better next term to have any shot at promotion Tjaronn Chery believes a strong first pre-season programme with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be key to QPR’s success in the Championship next season. The former Chelsea frontman took over the reigns at Loftus Road in December and has guided the Rs to 11th place in the Championship with eight games remaining. But having recorded just five league wins under the Dutchman so far, Chery knows that the squad has underperformed and must do better next term to have any shot at promotion. He said: “There are a lot of good players here; we have international players, but we are mid-table and that’s too low for these players; that’s what myself and the manager thinks. “I hope it (promotion) will be next season because now the manager has come in, he can also do pre-season, buy new players and decide which players stay or go. I think we’ll be fine for next season." Chery also had positive words for former boss Chris Ramsey but hailed the appointment of his fellow countryman Hasselbaink. He added: “Ramsey was also a good manager, but Jimmy has his own stuff that he wants to bring to the place – he makes us like a team which is the biggest difference to the other coaches. “If some players go, you have to show yourself and make yourself important for the team – you have to train well and when you get a chance in the team you have to play well so the manager cannot change you again." Having prolonged his stay in the Rangers starting eleven in recent months, former Eredivisie star Chery thinks he has contributed to the team’s current impressive form but admits the chances of reaching the playoffs are few and far between. “The last few weeks I have played good and also for the team, we have made progress but it is hard to go to the playoffs but you never know – we will see what happens at the end of the season.” His fledgling partnership with striker Seb Polter is also proving to be a highlight in the final weeks of the season and it is something that Chery attributes to their similar introductions to the game. “He [Polter] played before in Germany, I played in Holland – it’s very much the same. “When I play I score goals, that’s what I always say – the fans love me because I score goals - that’s the only thing you have to do, score goals”

I'm expecting to be in the mix. With the addition of a new commanding centre back to lead the team, I think we will be strong and creative. It is imperative that we find out in the remainder of this season if players like El Khayati and Robinson are good enough and plan our summer's activities accordingly. Hopefully this will be the last transfer window dominated by trying to move players on as opposed to concentrating on improving the squad.

Putting next season to one side for a minute our last two away games this season are at Brighton and Burnley - with a little trip to Cardiff just before. We may not be going up but can have a big say on who does! Yes very true. And at the same time our team can demonstrate how far they have progressed. Back to the main question: Am I expecting promotion next season? No, I do not expect promotion but I would expect Loftus Road to be a place teams fear to come in the 2016/7 season. I expect us to win most of our home games and to do so in style . I expect a us to acquire a effective central defender ( and possible captain) to partner Hall. I expect us to acquire a visionary midfielder ( and possible captain), to replace Aly Faulin I expect to see the new partnership between Polter and Chery blossom into a feared goalscoring duo. I expect us to develop into a team who can control a game, at least at home. I expect to see us honestly challenge for the playoffs.

I imagine most supporters of Championship sides could say that, if all their players live up to their potential and perform at 100%, then they'd expect to finish in a play-off place.
Thing is, not all players will perform to the best of their abilities (Philips anyone?), others will sulk, have tantrums, fall out with the manager, get injured...
So I never expect anything at the start of a season and go to games in hope rather than expectation.
Signings, departures and FFP ruling (surely coming soon???) will all have their part to play.
Right now I guess we'll finish this season around 10th - so an improvement on that next season (on the assumption that JFH and the board will build positively over the summer) would be as far as I could reasonably expect.
Interesting chat with another Rangers fan on the tube after the Boro game last Friday night, where he said that actually, he enjoyed life in League 1 as much (if not more) than life in the Prem. Once the joy/despair of promotion/relegation has worn off, I think we all get used to the new reality of the next season.

I just hope we put up better performances and no more of this drawing dross. With the deadwood finally getting rid of hopefully, we could begin to assemble a group of guys that give a shit and see how it pans out. Chery & Luongo & Yun, could be the guys to build a team around.

One thing I do hope for is we dont throw away leads and points from winning positions. Dont think there has been many teams worse than us for squandering leads. We could even be quite close to play offs if were not so wasteful.

I guess when you look where we were. earlier in the season with Ramsey and the start of JFH reign, it looked like we would only get about 55 points so if we were to get 60 plus, would be some sort of improvement and a platform to build on. Certainly dont have us as top 6 material yet though.

We could even be quite close to play offs if were not so wasteful. We are the worst in the Championship at throwing points away and we would have been in the top 4 if we had the same record as Boro who I think have only lost 2 pints after taking the lead.
At least in recent games we seem to have stopped that trend and have even picked up some last minute wins.
As for next season - we are stuck again with having to move on Sandro Fer Caulker and Phillips if we are to get in the strength we need to do well; but in any event should be doing better than this season - maybe with lots of 1-0 and 0-0's!
They have definitely improved towards the end of the season. Hopefully their form as of late carries into the next season and we should at least have a chance to make a playoff spot. It seems like every season they have to sell players that don't want to be here or are too expensive, it's become a trend under Fernandes. If they can unload all of those players they can bring in a couple of quality players. I don't think they need a whole lot more. Probably someone to replace Phillips/Hoilett(as El Khayati will replace one of them) and a RB. I'm okay with Perch/Robinson at LB. Hall and Onouha, even Angella in his appearances recently has played well. Still could use a CB for depth. So really they don't need too much next season.

From the BBC www.bbc.com/sport/football/36054728Nasser El Khayati: QPR 'belong in the Premier League, not the Championship'From the section Football Forward Nasser El Khayati says Queens Park Rangers are looking to build momentum to take into next season. The R's, relegated from the top flight last season, are currently 11th in the Championship table. "Queens Park Rangers is definitely a team whose home is in the Premier League, not the Championship," the Dutchman, 27, told BBC Radio London. "The thing is to push as hard as possible this season to be ready for next season." He added: "You can have a season like this as football is not always nice and you cannot always be where you want to be." The Loftus Road club have had three different managers this season, with head coach Chris Ramsey sacked in November with the side in mid-table. Neil Warnock spent a month in interim charge before Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was appointed in early December - but the former Chelsea striker had to wait until his eighth league game to secure his first victory. Rangers have since enjoyed an upturn in results, suffering just two defeats in their last 10 games, and El Khayati can see signs of progress in west London. "I have been here for eight or nine weeks and a lot of things are changing in a good way," he said. "The team spirit is brilliant, which is very important. If you are not a unit, you go nowhere. "All the things we have as habits now can help for next season." El Khayati previously played under Hasselbaink at Burton Albion, and followed his compatriot down to London in February. "We had only good results at Burton, where nobody expected anything," he added. "A lot of things are exactly the same with the way he is working here. "You have to deal with different characters, so he has to change a bit but the last two months have gone really well. "As a player he was a legend. Every day when I see him on the pitch, you get extra [motivation] to show him what you can do."

I never have any idea how we'll do. I suppose there are simply too many unknowns for anyone to get it right. And I wonder whether successful managers have any idea. Unsuccessful managers don't, of course, but maybe they don't realize it, while the winners do.
If so, maybe winners have some way of minimising the damage done by all the dodgy and unpredictable variables that screw up a season. So success is rather more by default, with the winners managing to get it less wrong, while the losers struggle to identify in advance what it will take to get it right, when they can't have any real idea, because each season is so different from the one before (Leicester and Mourinho/Chelsea good examples of this!).
So maybe, as a result, they need to put less faith in their own ability than the losers do. After all, no-one knows what will happen in the next minute of a game, let alone the next few months of a season.
Perhaps that is what gives winners that elusive edge. If spontaneity is characteristic of the best teams, perhaps the difference between winners and losers is that the losers are trying to tailor hoped-for consistencies of performance to outcomes they can't possibly envisage accurately, while the winners just do their best to be ready for anything.
Not what they might expect. And certainly not what an optimistic way of looking at things tells them they will like.
As we know, most Clubs are not accomplished enough to perform in a predictable or expected fashion, even if we could work out what that might be.
