I see the normal 1-1 draw but won't mind at all if we get a win

Surely we'll get our usual mostly turgid draw where we either go behind and score late to show how determined we are or give up an equalizer in the last minute of stoppage time.

Start with Chery and he will score you goals. Very very stubborn to realise things our Jimmy as we learnt with Luongo.

Very good result and performance. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come and Chery continues to start. Everyone on the team did their job and beyond. Sounded like Luongo was the MOTM. Perch seems to be better on the left side and this team is doing better in the backfield without Konchesky.

Good result achieved with both Chery and Luongo starting. Coincidence? I don't think so!

Good result achieved with both Chery and Luongo starting. Coincidence? I don't think so! This They were our best summer signings and should start every week IMO. Taken JFH hell of a time to realise it.

I agree, JFH has kept Chery out of the starting XI for too long. He did say he wanted both to work on their defending and play hard on both sides of the ball. Didn't hear that too much from Chery today, although Luongo has certainly worked harder on that part of his game. However, Chery is so talented moving forward and is necessary for the attack that they just need to accept his isn't going to defend. Also, playing right behind the striker it isn't nearly as important as Luongo's position.

Chery looked class, Polter worked his socks off, Luongo did really well. Defence coped comfortably with what Brum offered. Phillips and Hoilett were dangerous. Not a lot for Smithies to do.
For me, I'm going to leave the best for last. Karl Henry does nothing fancy, but what he does, he does really well. He plays an easy ball and immediately makes himself available again, he hardly gave the ball away all game. Best of all though, he breaks play up in midfield, boy, when he hits a player, he hits em hard. Again, nothing fancy but so effective. Would you believe, my MoM?
Great team performance all around against a side that have been playing well.

Well I must try to get back more often, two visits two wins. Good all round team performance though it was somewhat uncomfortable to watch at times. Ref was pants!

Anyone see Robert Green sitting around the grounds somewhere? Poor fellow. He did have some very strong seasons though, and some terribly hard ones, when we were in Prem.

Today was a total team effort. Nobody was outstanding, but everyone played well. We were a TEAM!
The defence looked very comfotable, the midfield was in control & we caused problems upfront.
What more can you ask for?
Apart from "sitting" with Bowles & Roller rather than my normal seat, the best bit today was our attitude. We can't move far in either direction in the table this season, but we played as if the result & performance was all important! I wassn't too happy when I saw the selected side. However, if JFH is selecting on a match to match basis based on our opponents that can only be good.
I also like the idea that he is giving everyone an opportunity to play & impress him.
Thank you Rangers. I had a great day!

Massively improved performance.
On the way home I was asked for my man of the match and, having a slightly devilish streak, I said Henry. curiously a couple agreed with me without hesitation and, it would appear, so does tightattheback. MOM or not, it must have been his best performance this season by some distance.
There were no obvious weak links today, but I loved Polter's performance. He chased everything, fought for every ball and interacted with Chery and the rest of the midfield really well. Perch deserves a special mention for his performance at left back both in a defensive and an attacking mode and Ned had Birmingham running scared from his attacking surges.
Outside of the goals, the highlight of the match was a sublime pass from Luongo over their defence into the path of Chery; I hope it makes the highlights package.
All achieved without Ale Faurlin.

Good performance , thought the usual under fire players were very good . Karl Henry had his best game all season , Perch looked very good at left back , hopefully this continues and Konchesky never plays again .Even Angella didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon and seemed to win everything in the air , Luongo and Chery also were excellent , hope this is the team that starts the next game .

After a good performance, now hopefully now we can back it up with back to back wins at MK Dons. Something that has only been done a couple of times all year, Warnock once and Ramsey once.

Great game of football!
I thought we made Birmingham look average, played much the better football, Perch looked comfortable and in control on the left hand side...but Nedum was great, he made several attacking runs into their defence that really rattled them and the way Chery and Luongo tracked back to cover at key times was fabulous....definitely think RB is the chiefs strongest position!
Hoilett caused problems and Polter gave 110%..his last touch needs work but his pace is great for such a big unit and crates space for others with it. Henry solid as were Hall and Angella...Matty good but luongo and Chery pleased most!
JFH was glued to the touch line for the full 90 minutes...definitely green shoots today it would seem his coaching work is now paying dividends on the pitch.
On negative...some Birmingham fans behaviour was atrocious!
