NICKY Ajose and Michael Doughty were both at the double as Swindon Town ended their goal drought and got back to winning ways in League One away at bottom side Colchester United this afternoon.
Town had not found the net in their last three matches – and also failed to win any of the last four – but took full advantage of the U’s low confidence at the Colchester Community Stadium.
Striker Ajose struck either side of half-time before on-loan midfielder Doughty got his first goal for the club to make it 3-0 on the hour.
The home side threatened a comeback when Joe Edwards found the net to give them a glimmer of hope but that was quashed when Doughty struck again to wrap up the points for Luke Williams’ side.

Agree with that Terry, Tozser lived up to his name and was a complete disappointment.

Then why the f**k has our director of football and his mate sent him out on loan leaving us with Toszer or Henry as Faurlins back up ? It's not the decision that I'd have made, but perhaps it was so that he was guaranteed to get some matches under his belt?

Gladwin hasn't shone yet in championship but was really well received when at loan at Swindon .. Doughty doing well at division below us right now but is he better than Henry ? Haven't seen any of his games but curious if any who have seen think he could step up. ( looks physically able )

can i suggest that it might be worth giving Diakite a run out... he's a battler- and a headcase i know- but has some skill and steel...

The dream midfield of Toszer and Diakite! Maybe with the option of bring on Gobern once Diakite has been sent off?

Gobern ? Has actually anyone seen him play and is he still at the club ? Fantastic piece of business signing this much sought after player , what's he on ? 3 year contract ?

Gobern ? Has actually anyone seen him play and is he still at the club ? Fantastic piece of business signing this much sought after player , what's he on ? 3 year contract ? He played a couple of Cup games, looked absolutely dreadful. went on loan, got injured and can leave in June. There that one nice and easy, dreadful bit of business by the Club even as free squad player. He can join Diakite and Traore in June and we can offload. Meanwhile we will possibly be lumbered with Jet for 2 more years after his loan runs out. If we were really a club doing things different, Im sorry but would we have gone anywhere near JET even on a free?
