0-0 HT, but it appears that we've had the better of the play and chances. Let's hope we get a goal (or 2, or 3 or more) in the second half!
COME ON U RRRRRRRRRRRRRsssssss!!

A win and a clean sheet, excellent. The home win monkey is now off JFH's back, let's hope we can push on.

We continued our improvement with every game we are playing. It was also nice to see every player, including Phillips, commit themselves to the team's cause.
We have a goalkeeper! Not only does Smithies look confident, in control & have good ball handling, he also talks! His catch of a corner after we had scored was superb. I can't remamber when I last saw a Rangers 'keeper do that! It may have been Chris Day!
Until we scored, the defence looked very much at ease.
Faurlin & Luongo completely ran the midfield. Their ball winning & distribution were a class above Ipswich & Tozzer had his best game for us when he came on. Can someone please tell me if Ale went off as an injury precaution, following his knock in the first half? If so, what is the injury & how long is it likely to keep him out? We are a different team when he is playing!
Junior created some chances, but had his Tommy Williams moment when he didn't pass to Connor Washington! Polter worked so hard but his first touch was a little stroppy! Phillips tried after he had shirked his first challenge, but IMO he had the least effect on the game of our players. However, he scored! That will do me.
El Khayati looks to have some promise & if he continues to mishit his shots & we score from them it will be great!
Now we come to Connor Washington. The boy can play! Our two January transfers have seen my excitement levels rise considerably!
All in all, it's not a bad night to live in Ipswich!

Where's all you Phillips bashers now Still here ! The facts are that he has underperformed since we signed him . Yes he has played well on occasions but not enough times for a supposed highly rated sought after player , goes missing far too often , not today though thankfully , hope it continues and the team play as well for the rest of the season including Phillips !

It was only said tongue in cheek HughesH We all have players we think differently about, I have quite a few . I think lots of fans have a pop at wingers for vanishing in games but its hard to keep that pace up for 90 mins. Hopefully he can keep it up now and we can give Fulham a good stuffing, we owe them.
