Like to see Smithies get a chance. And would rather Chery or Luongo on the pitch instead of Hoilett.

Fers asking to be sent off, get him substituted at ht or we will be down to 10 men. He dont stop whinging, get on with it, even if some decisions are poor. Looks a dreadful player

As much as I love NW , cant understand for one second why he would play Fer instead of Chery and Luongo.
Get Fer off, get Charlie and and one of these two on at HT

I'm sorry but Phillips is just so poor ! In Phillips defence, he was living off utter scraps.

Is this game being played behind closed doors? I know it's on telly on a Thursday evening but bloody hell!

Take it back about Hoilett starting. Now the games is in the second half its clear as many have said Fer should not have started. Bring on Chery take off Fer, Take off Petrasso put on Austin.

Well done, different team when Chery came on, should start every game. Whats that 7 points in four games, should have been 8.

3 most welcome points and back to back clean sheets.
I'm happy.
At least JFH gets a good starting base to work with. Roll on tomorrow when the real work starts.

We win a game by scoring with less than 10 mins to go! When was the last time that happened?
Warnock must stay!

good defense but i just cannot see us scoring here It always looked like one goal was going to win it. Harsh on Reading as I think a point would have been a fair result. But, as we've kept on saying for a long while now, good things can happen if you keep a clean sheet.

Bossed it after Chery came on,; only looked like one team was going to score towards the end of the game. Very soft goal but they all count as they say.
Good for confidence which will help JFH no end.
2 wins and 2 clean sheets on the bounce, thanks for steadying the ship Neil.

We probably deserved a point at 'Borro though so what goes round etc. If Warnock had have been in the dugout for that game and we did get a point that would have been some run of results coming from where we were going when Ramsey was at the helm.

Surely Chery has to start against Burnley. Thought Fer was poor, if the rumours that Feyenoord are interested in January then we must snap their hands off as he is one of the most overrated players I have seen.
Apart from one dodgy moment thought Hall was sound again, Perch just looks like he has a mistake in him. Green makes me worry as well, you just sense a howler is not far away with him in goal. Konchesky was solid and Ned is finding his form again. I love watching Faurlin he is calmness personified, got to be one of the first on the team sheet. Phillips played most of the match out of position so wont be to harsh on him, but it cements the fact we need a striker or two in January.
Thought Hoilett was ok, nothing special, but at least he had attacking intent when he got the ball. Petrasso just could not get into the match, but give him time and reckon he could be decent. Sandro was our best player on the night and hope he carries on like that as he will only improve with full 90 mins every time we play.
Overall not brilliant but solid. A clean sheet and 3 points away makes for a happy day(or night) I'm happy not ecstatic but happy enough to be actually looking forward to our next game against Burnley.

Just back home. Was dreading the trip a bit - didn't fancy us getting a result, annoying getting between the ground and train station and it's my birthday (well, it was until about an hour ago) so would have been typical if we lost after being in two minds about going.
Not too much to add on from what others have said. Sterile, bitty first half. Thought we looked much improved in the second half and Chery was energetic. Agree that Petrasso didn't get heavily into the game but he's got some talent and it's nice to see a player happy to run at full backs and try and take them on, let alone from one of our own youngsters who frankly, until last week, I'd almost forgot was still at the club. Still think we look pretty toothless up top. We know that Phillips can finish if balls are slotted through to him on the floor, but when Reading pushed up we kept putting a lot of vague balls for him and Hoilett to deal with, and it's just not their game really. When we did get it on the floor we seemed to find it hard to break through - lot of nice touches but no end product, no tip to the spear. That improved when Chery and Austin came on, but I don't think it's a coincidence that our last two victories have come from set pieces.
Atmosphere wasn't up to much other than the start and towards the end of the second half. Reading fans singing "you're f*cking sh*t" at us just before the second goal and singing it back to them after the goal, watching them head for the exits was funny. Ended up on the shuttle bus back with a load of QPR fans and it felt like the bus was genuinely at risk of toppling over.
It was nostalgic to see Warnock all smiles the end, doing that fist pump we know so well. He's steadied the ship and ground out 6 points in the last two games, good on him for that.
Draw would have been fair but glad we got the 3 points. UUUUUURRRRRRRSSSS!
