Suppose it makes sense, the season is pretty much dead anyway unless we have an FA Cup Run

Flashback Sept 2010
kevin Blackwell/Sky - How Could Have Taken Over at QPR "...[Kevin] Blackwell worked with Warnock as a player and a coach at Bramall Lane and might have taken over at QPR himself in 2009, only to see Sheffield United reject their advances for his services.... "This time last year I could have gone to Queens Park Rangers straight after the play-off final and the club turned it down. "Neil rang me on two occasions and said: 'I've spoken to Flavio Briatore and they did want you to come here'. Sky

QPR Official Site KEVIN BLACKWELL ASSISTING NEIL WARNOCK 12th November 2015 by @qprfc QPR’s interim head coach Neil Warnock has brought in former assistant Kevin Blackwell … Neil Warnock has recruited Kevin Blackwell to help him on the training pitch The 56-year-old has previously worked with Warnock at Huddersfield Town, Plymouth Argyle, Bury and Sheffield United Warnock is currently in temporary charge at Loftus Road NEIL Warnock has added 'an extra pair of eyes' on the training ground by bringing Kevin Blackwell in to assist him. Blackwell previously worked with Warnock at Huddersfield, Plymouth, Bury and Sheffield United, while he also assisted QPR’s current interim head coach during his previous spell at Loftus Road. “I know how Kevin works, he is very good on the training field and will provide me with an extra pair of eyes,” Warnock told www.qpr.co.uk. “I have spoken with Les [Ferdinand, QPR's director of football], and I have to operate as the head coach - for however long that might be. “When you look at the fixtures coming up, I don’t think anyone will be rushing in to take over for those! We’ve got to embrace it, and give it our best shot.” www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/qpr-kevin-blackwell-neil-warnock-2798021.aspx#p2C7r1rFpyBfsX83.99

Listening to the 7 minute clip of Warnock talking on TALKSPORT this morning it sounded like Warnock/Blackwell will run things until December . Fernandes is apparently coming over to the UK to sort out loads of stuff for practically the month. Then maybe you might see Fernandes and co appoint a new Manager. In the meantime Warnock and Blackwell can tackle all the tough games that no Manager would want to start up against when your starting out new. Boro, Burnley , Reading , Leeds , Brighton.
Of course by then someone new could have been approached or maybe they want Monk from Swansea or Eddie Howe from Bournemouth and will wait to these two come up. Sounds like Lambert is a no go because of Karsa and Pearson a no go because of Hoos ?

Sounds like Lambert is a no go because of Karsa and Pearson a no go because of Hoos ? He's put himself in a decent position there. Decent results against those teams with an assistant already by his side!! He doesn't hang about does he. On the other hand, if the results went wrong, then he's only a stand in and doesn't lose much by it.

Suppose it makes sense, the season is pretty much dead anyway unless we have an FA Cup Run 30 League games left and the season is already dead ?
I've put some optimism pills in the post
or if anyone wants to be really downbeat just think we could be in a relegation fight so there's lots to play for
Sadly I dont see us top six material 57. Ramsey and company only managed 0.9 pts a game for the last 11 games against some pretty average teams. Over the last 11 games we are in the bottom five of the Form table I dont see this points accumulation changing much over those six games do you. The new Manager would have to do something special to turn us around in the second half. Stick with my 12th place if thats ok with you. Cheers for the pills though

Kevin Blackwell?
Thanks very much Colin. If anyone remembers how his sides failed to play the slightest amount of football, you will join me in being very underwhelmed by this move! Add this to the pair of them making Sheffield United the most unpopular & worst footvballing side in the Championship.
Perhaps their combined hero can return to the club though. Make way for Rob Hulse!
Even Kevin Bond would have been a vast improvement!
