If Klopp gets the job, which is now looking increasingly likely, then Liverpool will have a soft spot in my heart for as long as he's there. Love that man so much Rory no man! soft spot for Klopp no worries, soft spot for Liverpool that worries me!

Crikey missus!
I've been laid low with flu since Friday night, kindly given it to my 2 kids as well now.
Seems like its all been kicking off on here the last few days! No need for it really.
Sometimes its good to take a step back. You realize that there is some serious stuff going on right now in this world.
Stuff that makes whether or not a West London football club, suffering from multiple problems of its own making, can win a few games of football seem less important than perhaps we act like it really is.

Well blimey, supprised by some of those unprovoked comments on this thread....looked like a bit of ganging up if you ask me....as my Granfather always used to tell me.....Son in life you will reap what you sow!
He also used to say that " time spent on reconnosance is seldom wasted" which was another good one......Looks like Brendan has got a bit of that to do!!

Should Chris Ramsey be feeling nervous with Rodgers available?

Think Ramsey has a job for the rest of the season, barring us being in the bottom 3. Like it or not. That's the way it is. They gave the man a 3 year contract. So would be foolish to not let him at least see out a season. No matter who is available

Should Chris Ramsey be feeling nervous with Rodgers available? Even though he's retired and is technically available I don't think Chris Rodgers knows too much about football. So no I don't think Ramsey needs to be nervous!

Just read this quote from Klopp....read it and weap!
"The first thing is always to have a stable defence. You can only stay confident when you know each offensive move from the opposition is a goal. Let's try to be the hardest team in the world to beat."

Worst defensive record in the Prem last season.....so we've dropped a division and retained some real quality players and its still the same! LF and CR are the archietects of that defensive recored pure and simple!! FFS! I want stability like everyone else and want to take a long term view of how we develope as a club....but at what point does performance become front and centre and people admit that the stratagy is right but the leadership is not?

Yeah true credit for that, though the 2 goals a game conceded for 10 games with the players at our disposal far outweighs that IMO Like Dufster states, that is appalling and should have been addressed way before now. Lets not forget Redknapp had just come down from a relegation and still managed to keep clean sheets in this division. One clean sheet in ten games, my god terrible, Warnock averaged one clean sheet every other game. Whilst it is nice to score goals, we shouldnt be letting in 3 goals at home to teams in the bottom three ? We have let in 5 games at home to two of the bottom four teams, poor defence ? Or poor coaching ? Take your pick ? How many will we let in to Hull, Burnley, Boro, Brighton , Reading when they visit ? So far Ramsey has been out of his depth with our defence .

Or we have defenders that in theory are up to it, haven't gelled or don't give a sh1t. Why are crap defenders who did well in the Championship or played in the Prem last year always the coach/managers fault. When will we just say they need to grow some balls and do the job they have been paid for, DEFEND FFS! Rant over!

I think when you take over a team as a Manager, you are responsible for them as a group . You coach them and you teach them what to do. Thats what Neil and Harry did to a very top level in this League. These are pretty much all Ramseys defenders now Onouha and Green apart. He and his coaches need to sort them out, after 10 games I woud so far suggest he hasnt, thats all.

Don't disagree harr, just tired of so many people blaming the coach/manager only when it's the players who are on the pitch that are playing the game and get paid a sh1t load of money to perform. Sure they need good coaching and that obviously needs looking at but it's up to the defenders to defend and at the moment they aren't doing that properly!
