A QPR reserve side beat Reading 1-0 in a behind closed doors friendly at the Royals training ground on Tuesday afternoon.
Armand Traore featured for the first time this season following a knee injury whilst Sandro also played after an enforced absence due to work permit issues.
Elsewhere, Yun Suk-Young continued his return to full fitness with his third appearance in just over a week whilst Daniel Tozser also played following his move to Loftus Road on a free transfer. There was also game time for Karl Henry, Ben Gladwin, Junior Hoilett and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.
QPR had Under-21s keeper Conor Hudnott to thank for keeping Reading out in the opening seven minutes when the young stopper made a tremendous save to deny the Royals.
Rangers responded through Australian centre-back James Haran when his shot went just over the bar after new signing Daniel Tozser’s free-kick was not cleared by the hosts’ backline.
Just after the half hour mark Reading did get the ball in the back of the R’s net but it was given offside before Emmanuel-Thomas saw his effort cleared off the line.
However, the former Bristol City forward eventually opened his account three minutes before half-time when his shot from 12-yards found the back of the net following Hoilett’s quickly taken free-kick.
After the break Hoilett went close to doubling QPR’s lead from the edge of the penalty area only to be prevented by a diving save from the hosts’ keeper.
Ben Gladwin headed over three minutes from time following a Hoilett corner before a Royals defender sliced the Canadian wingers cross onto his own post in the 90th minute as the R’s secured a 1-0 win.
QPR: Hudnott, Suk-Young (Kakay 61), Haran (Arthur 61), Hall (Trialist 52), Traore (Butler 55), Sandro (O’Sullivan 57), Henry (Trialist 55), Tozser (Trialist 63), Gladwin, Hoilett, Emmanuel-Thomas.
