Bert Baker stood down as chairman because of Gregory's commitment to the board that he would invest heavily in the club.

Bert Baker stood down as chairman because of Gregory's commitment to the board that he would invest heavily in the club. Cheers Bushy. Does this make Gregory the last chairman to live up to his promises?

Didn't John Bloom try to take over QPR pre-Jim Gregory? Ingham would note that Jim Gregory tried to merge QPR As for "the last Chairman" to live up to his promise..." The sainted Bill Power should get a shout out

The sainted Bill Power should get a shout out John Bloom - a new one on me I must admit. qprreport.proboards.com/thread/20133/john-bloom-photo-video-snippetGregory's talks with merging/taking over Brentford were to try to secure a better ground for Rangers weren't they, not to renege on any promise of investment? As for BP, you will have to remind me of any promises he made; this is not intended as a criticism of anyone other than myself for not knowing/remembering.
