Macmoish/QPR Report Mike Lewis
- Although John/Gramps was only on this board for some four years of his lengthy life, but from his first days on this board to his last, he taught us so much: Both about the history of QPR and perhaps more importantly, from observing John's general positive, gentle approach to life and supporting QPR. John provided a link to QPR's humble roots - and wasnt swayed by newfound QPR wealth and Johnny-come-latelys. His published personal history of QPR is something that QPR Fans can turn to for as long as QPR exist.
In Judaism, we believe that one lives on in the memories and influences one has on others, who then influence others ad infinitum - So Gramps will be with us for ever.
He'll be sadly missed by this board. He's a loss to the Broader QPR Community. RIP

Thanks all for the messages for Gramps.
The card is filling up now and I'm going to stop taking further messages from 11.00am tomorrow (Thursday 29 Jan).
What would really help personalise the card would be your signed names - think what a club shirt signed by players looks like... if you can post a scan here (or a picture taken on your phone) of your signed name, I'll be able to include them on the card.
I think it would make all the difference.
Thanks.

I only just read about this terrible news on the IndyR's board and I am devastated to hear it. John was a true gentleman and although I never met him, I had contact with him a few times when buying his book. Rest in Peace, John. You will never be forgotten. Marian Moroney from Ireland (MarianQPR)

If people can't post a signature...Can they send their scanned in signature or photoed signature to an email??? Excellent idea and the easiest solution Mac. So... 1) sign your name (in a dark ink on white paper). 2) Scan your signature in a high quality setting. 3) Alternatively, photograph your signature with a digital camera, your mobile phone or digital tablet. 4) email me the file at: niels@powdermillstudio.co.ukWhile the layout of the card is just about done, I can accept signatures for inclusion up to the end of Friday 30th Jan. Thanks.

Some signatures coming in and the card is beginning to look much more personal, thanks.
Come on chaps, still 12 of you who've not provided a signature... in the immortal words on Delia - "Let's be 'aving you!"
1) Sign your name (in a dark ink on white paper). 2) Scan your signature. 3) Alternatively, photograph your signature with a digital camera, your mobile phone or digital tablet. 4) email me the file at: niels@powdermillstudio.co.uk

Thanks Lone, all received OK - and a couple signatures more overnight.
Still hoping everyone will be able to sign the card by sending their signed name...

Marian and Toronto - all OK, have made space on the card.
Hope to get it printed on Monday afternoon - a slight delay in waiting for one particular contributor.
I've been getting a trickle of signatures emailed to me in too, which is great.
If you haven't emailed yours yet and are concerned about the quality of a photo taken on a mobile phone - don't worry. A couple of minutes on Photoshop this end and they'll come up up just fine.
Guidelines again...
1) Sign your name (in a dark ink on white paper). 2) Scan your signature. 3) Alternatively, photograph your signature with a digital camera, your mobile phone or tablet. 4) email me the file at: niels@powdermillstudio.co.uk

New signing confirmed just now... I'd approached Andy Evans CEO of the Trust, he's sent a message and signature. Top man. With the amount of messages we've got now, I've had to edit down some of the longer ones to no more than 4-5 lines. I've given Mac 6 lines, given his position as Our Glorious Leader I'll post the finished card here for checking by everyone, before it goes to print tonight/tomorrow.
