Bournemouth Top What an impressive start by them, had a good season yr last year too. Boro stuffing Norwich 4-0 Derby trotting along nicely, fair play to them . Wouldn't worry me if they got promoted , done well. And in Champions League , Arsenal 3 up finish 3-3 . Still back to the Prem ...

Very tight, only 4 points between 1st and 8th. No-one beginning to run away with it yet this season.

Yes your right Fabs , very tight . Just realised Ipswich have gone above Norwich . Mick McCarthy seems to be doing a decent job, did well last yr but missed out on Playoffs
IPSWICH V NORWICH would be a spicy Play Off final, as would Derby v Nottingham Forest . Reckon Derby for top two though.

Great Division and one that truly starts with a level playing field, with the possible exception of the parachute payments allocated to relegated teams, although this doesn't always reflect in results/positions.
Given the choice I would rather be in the Premier League but there is no shame in being in the Championship where Refs don't wrap players in cotton wool and the football is mostly entertaining, tight, full-blooded and exciting.

Not only do the refs not wrap players in cotton, but they don't protect big clubs either. There is no shame being in the league and it's a very even and competitive league. The only problem with QPR is our debt has become so massive that we need to be in the Premier League. But for a club our size, it's actually a pretty good accomplishment just to be in the Championship.

Good to see some people looking at the Championship because we could be there in 2015/16 season. I enjoy Championship matches and I saw Hudd vs M'Boro in Sept. The football is open and flowing and entrance prices are reasonable.
Although I wont wish for us to be relegated I miss going to see a game where we score goals and win....often!
Would love to see Derby win promotion, I am a fan of Steve Mc.

Bearing in mind Pearce is such a legend at Forest how many games will he get? The whole season?
They spent huge amounts of money in the window 10 million nearly on just 2 players . Far more than we did .
Currently losing 2-0 at home to Brentford

Yeah glad too, hopefully we can remain in the Prem for a couple of years at least .

What the heck is Tom Ince now doing at Forest . Went to Hull and loaned to Forest. He's a funny one that one.
Anyhow 0-3 now , I know a few Forest fans and they love Pearce but big home losses will soon make fans turn with money spent. You can throw money at projects but not get the right results and team mentality.

Just goes to show what a great job harry did in getting us back up at the first attempt. I knew you would come out with that one Kilburn He has my credit and praise for achieving that, like you say tough to do, specially after a year of losing . My concern for Harry has always been the start of this season, that's all. If he turns it round Will be one of the first to say I was wrong and praise him accordingly .

Bolton, wigan, blackburn, reading, wolves, cardiff, fulham and norwich are recent examples. Still early days for this prem season as I keep telling you

Where's Jamie Mackie now? I'd heard he's left Forest. He went on season loan to Reading LGM .My neighbour (charlton fan) went to Reading Saturday think he said he started that game but usually just gets played as Sub I think. Reading and Wigan , two teams relegated with us and now Wigan in bottom three of Champs and Reading bottom half. Feeling very grateful we got promoted last season . Cardiff, Fulham struggling and Norwich starting to dip in form. Forest spending millions and only got there first win in 10 .

Definitely got to be happy about getting out of the league in the first attempt. Wigan was in the playoffs last year and now they are bottom three. Oddly enough last season, the three relegated teams looked okay at this point, a little different this season. None of them are in the top six, Norwich is slipping, Cardiff is getting better but still middle of the table and Fulham is no where near safety. Also as seem with teams relegated just before us in Blackpool and Bolton, the longer a relegated team sticks around there, the worse it can get. Oddly enough Wolves are better off than both of those teams even though they did a double drop, might have been the best thing for them. The only thing not really surprising is seeing Derby at the top of the table, they definitely deserve to go up this year.

I thought Norwich and Forest would go up in the top two this year with Derby. Looking increasingly like Forest and Norwich might have to settle for playoffs although early days . As lucky as we were in the final with Derby HR did get us there and did get us promoted after a real clear up with the team. I found it interesting yesterday when a Spurs fan suggest a HR return at WHL and lots of other Spurs fans saying he only just got us up last year with a huge budget and good players etc. I guess they didn't realise the clearout we had at the club and the morale etc they just see us buying a couple of players etc and everyone expected us to walk the League . You would think they might have known how tough it can be to get back up . I think it's us Newcastle and West Ham that have done it at first attempt in recent years ? Wolves and Jackett had good momentum after the Div One title, they could quite easily make the play offs but not sure if there squad will last the season or be good enough to win the play offs ?

I'm rooting for Ipswich to go up.
My mate at work supports them and I have a soft spot for them because of that.
Used to work with another Ipswich fan who took me to see them years ago when Dalian Atkinson was playing for them. Mick McCarthy is a quality manager too.

I started this post early November , Bournemouth were top. To my amazement at Christmas they still are there , quite an achievement by their Manager and players. Ipswich , Boro and Brentford all surprising me too.
Tipped Derby, Norwich and Forest as my three, Still think Derby and Norwich make top six but considering the amount of cash Forest have spent, Pearce not doing alot..
What an earth has happened to Wigan who came down with us and Reading ?
