This is all getting a bit silly now ?? Everyone backing everyone . Les Ferdinand urges QPR players to stick together and support manager Harry Redknapp Oct 16, 2014 22:30 By James Nursey Rangers currently sit bottom of the Premier League table, and Redknapp could face the sack if his side suffers defeat against Liverpool this weekend Les Ferdinand hopes the team rallies around Harry Redknapp Les Ferdinand admits QPR are in a âtoughâ position and has called on their players to reunite behind under-pressure boss Harry Redknapp. Promoted Rangers prop up the top-flight with just four points ahead of Liverpoolâs visit on Sunday. Boss Redknapp is expected to go if Rangers suffer another heavy defeat with Tony Pulis or Tim Sherwood tipped as his likely replacement. Ferdinand, head of football operations at Loftus Road, said: âWhen you are in the position Queens Park Rangers are in every game is a big game. âAs a player I have been there in that situation. I know it is tough to get out of but if everyone pulls together in the right direction you eventually get out of it.â QPR have won just one of their first seven top-flight games of the season. Tony Fernandes, the QPR chairman, has shelved plans to hand Redknapp a new contract and effectively admitted on Twitter that he is weighing up whether or not to sack the 67-year-old. Ferdinand was speaking with Chris Ramsey at the unveiling of a statue at St. Georgeâs Park honouring Arthur Wharton, the worldâs first black professional footballer. Ramsey worked with Sherwood and Ferdinand previously at White Hart Lane. Now Sherwood is linked with QPR but Ramsey said: âI am more of a lieutenant than a general. My bag is packed and I will go where I need to go.â www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/les-ferdinand-urges-qpr-players-4450272#ixzz3GLdkscQd Follow us: @dailymirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook

So if a couple of players or management - or god forbid it even fans - want to put out some positive comments for a change good luck to them. [/p][/quote] They're gonna need it!

Few questions
- Why does Les feel he has to "urge" the players to stick together and support Redknapp? - Are they not already doing that? - If they aren't supporting the manager, why will they listen to him over, Jordan, Bond and Hoddle? he's not even part of the first team set up. - Has he told this to the players directly or via the press? - If it's only via the press, is he creating a situation that doesn't exist. ie. The players are actually sticking together and supporting the boss. - if that is the case. Then the reported comment will only lead to p*ss of the players, because of incorrect assumptions.
I'm not even sure what Les's role is. But perhaps he should keep comments like that out of the press and to himself now he is part of the club, as it doesn't help anyone and can end up possibly demotivating rather than motivating. Too many cooks and all that.

In my view it was wrong in your view your colleague was right , just a matter of opinion

Next public statement will be from (insert any name you can think of here)..."PR bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. Bullshit bullshit bullshit"
What do you expect? This has been coming out of the club for at least 10 years now. After every defeat, all the players would allegedly take turns to reinforce positiveness within the squad, unlucky things didn't go our way, looking forward to turning it all around. Wank wank wank wank wank. Triffic lad, good parents etc etc.
We dont need this, what we want to hear is how our injured players are progressing, who's in line for a start, something new, not the pr drivel, and that is all it is, that seems to be the vogue. I want to know what Sir Les's job actually is, what he thinks about that. Not Let's all get behind Harry, ra ra ra.
It is not a case of being negative or a rosey cosy positive, it is about what is currently going on at the club. A honest report so to speak. When things sound too positive you know there is a cover up going on. That leads to speculation which may or may not be correct.

I'm afraid that's so. If they don't know how to win, and all the while they're collectively taking tens of millions out of the Club every year, 'let's all get behind the manager' - or the players or the chairman - will inevitably get many supporters' backs up, first, because delivering performances and results on the pitch is the only effective way to do this, secondly because 'mutual support' means they don't have the technique or talent to identify what, specifically, is wrong, or thirdly that they don't like to tell us that nothing is actually going 'wrong', this is as good as they get.
But they don't like to say so.
