Go. you set me up to good ashdown. Haha - OK, I walked into that one... Can I rephrase it then - what would you have preferred QPR's owner (whoever he/she may be) to have done differently since May 24th? I think his answer would still be the same no matter how many times you re-phrase it.

Maybe maude hoped we might do well, Ashdown. Or maybe just better than this. Maybe the question could be put another way. Is there a cut-off point at which wanting to be rid of Redknapp or certain players or even a particular regime is itself positive? Or should the more restless supporters wait indefinitely?
It is not that I am against patience. I just don't remember there being very much of it. And I remember very little admiration for manager or players or chairmen surviving persistently bad results.
Perhaps the point fits nicely with 57's about staying small. We will certainly stay small playing like this. Not only that, we will certainly stay small playing very much better than this too. Very much better.
To become anything BUT small - and I don't doubt for a moment that the Club can do it, ANY Club can become big, at least in principle - we will have to be performing at a level that is unparalleled for QPR, and, I would guess, never achieved by any other small (or even medium-sized) Club.
If we are able to accept - not how big we're going to be, since that is pure speculation - but how big we actually are, and what our limitations actually are, and have the humility to do what every genius at a particular art or craft HAS to do for years before he reaps the reward of his efforts - LEARN the craft or the art or the instrument or technique in question - we might find out whether someone at the Club has the aptitude or insight to understand exactly HOW we might transform this Club.
If the supporters had evidence that the foundations of such a transformation were being laid - by evidence I mean practical evidence of basic discipline and technique, and some sign of ordered improvement that indicated a significant degree of know-how, not just the usual mixture of hype and hope from the boardroom, dugout and dressing room - I think they would exhibit patience to an extraordinary extent.
Maybe even if we were only found to be seriously TRYING to learn the game.
But if they think that this tripe will enable us to cope with the expectations generated by Fernandes's so far empty and meaningless big talk, I think they are mistaken, and I sympathise with maude as much as I sympathise with your honourable wish to see the best in them.
In the end, supporters usually only see the best IN the best, and know the difference very well.
They only have to start performing superbly and winning. Or, if our big club ambitions really ARE limited to just scraping along as a long term relegation contender, just surviving by the skin of our teeth.
That will probably do. But it will keep us small. And we will find ourselves coming back to the same question over and over again. Are we capable of being anything other than small? And if so, can we do it in any way other than being exceptionally brilliant for a Club of our size?
We can postpone it over and over again. But if that is the case, as it has been for at least 20 years, (realistically, the Club's entire history), then it is reasonable to postpone the 40,000 ground and the £178 million debt - Fernandes can take that on himself - until the Club IS good enough and successful enough to be able to cope with them.
As it is, we struggle to cope with the likes of Burton Albion.

Lovely piece of writing Ingham and in agreement.
In Prem, I can see every match. But who wants to the way they are playing.
How small? We have a chance at Conference if we keep up this tentative play rather than full steam ahead, Not our style Im afraid.

Just to make revenue outside of football and also to enlarge his ego, he is an entreprenaur, its what they do. If fans can forget about what tf wishes us to be, then all that remains is what you know and love about Queens Park Ranger's. and maybe we may win the league cup or push liverpool for the title or take spurs to a fa cup replay or spend 14 years in the top division or get into europe all on a shoestring budget and attendances of 12,000.

Losing to Hull was a really bad blow for us. That was a relegation 6 pointer first game of the season.

You can't blame TF for Harry not giving our u21's a chance at all can you? I mean really?!!! Can I point out the success the u21's have had in the last few seasons... They're even unbeaten so far this season too. Can't have it both ways with TF, if he forces HR to play some of them then you would just be having a go at him for controlling the team like Flavio did. IMO we have 2 or 3 players who are ready to get a chance.

Obviously haven't seen them, but based on the past 15 years - and all the "home grown" players we've released over the years - who have NOT gone on to make it big elsewhere (at our level): I would be skeptical that we have any of the young players good enough for the Premier League (or the Championship)

Unless we have a run of injuries like Manure can't see any of them p[laying and to be frank none of them are of EPL standard, and probably not to Championship standard. That is why the best ones have been loaned to Championship and League 1 teams to get competitive "men" matches under their belts and if they prove to be good enough they can graduate to the first team.

We had offers from several Championship teams but since Petrasso was treated awfully on loan last season and the club are being very careful as to where they send him now. Leyton Orient treated Frankie Sutherland fantastically so that explains that

Yeah can see the logic Rory, just thought his development could do with the Championship level now as it would be good for him. Champs so many strong and Ex Prem teams .

Team nowhere where it should be on paper . We said that with Hughes team . This team looked even better than the Hughes team but as we know there's a difference to looking good than actually playing good .
