After such a mature and competent performance on Saturday against Middlesbrough, Yun surely must be a starter against Wigan. But will Redknapp put him in the team or on the bench or, even, loan him to Orient or somebody else?

Man of the match, no less
I thought he looked good in the 2nd half against Swindon earlier in the season rampaging down the left once we had finally decided it was ok to attack.
Only a mad man would leave him out against Wigan. Bah

Oh but wait a sec guys, Assou-Ekotto is "one of the top 3 LB's in the country" so surely he should be playing instead right?
In all seriousness though, Yun deserves his starting place and I will be very annoyed with Redknapp if he chooses to play that imbecile BAE again.

He's most definitely the right sort , unlike Benny 'Too Cool For The Skool End' Ekotto! His performance Saturday made Harry look a bit silly IMO .

OK, I wonder how many of you would put money on Redknapp starting Yun on Saturday then?

my motm , always looking to get forward ,linking up the play ,such a competent and mature display which belied his young age ,how ironic that he only got to play by necessity rather than by choice ,take note redknapp this lad i s class and deserves a run in the side ,but i suppose he doesnt come into harrys right sort ,so will he start him again on tues i doubt it ,how refreshing it was to see a young player showing desire and hunger and the will to win and actually wants to be on the pitch which all all too often this season has been sadly lacking this season from some loanees who really dont give a toss about the club and are just here to top up their pensions and cant wait to get back to their parent clubs , i will be really pissed of if he is not selected again after saturdays display ,but hey we all know redknapps philosophy ,it wll be interesting to say the least what happens

Couldn't agree more Kent, I hope he starts every game for the rest of the season. Against Birmingham City, I decided to listen to their broadcast over our own, due to lack of commentary and they were giving BAE a very hard time saying he is one of the few players to ever say he only plays for the money. The guy has talent, but clearly can't be bothered to put in a real effort. Yun Suk Young has the pace and talent to be a very good LB in the Premier League and it would be stupid not to keep playing him. The guy is good enough to play for his national team, which I believe made the World Cup, but not good enough for the Championship?

I had a conversation with David Mcintyre about Yun on Twitter a few months ago as the boy had impressed me when I had seen him in the past and was surprised he hadn't been given a chance. He said that he wouldn't be played because Redknapp didn't rate him and that he had been bought for the wrong reasons. I took it from that he meant to attract support from Asia.

that sounds plausible wren after all we got lumbered with park who to my mind was bought for the same sort of reasons ,the difference being parks best days were behind him where this young lad has the ability to be a very good player and i would hope it would be with us ,for me he should start against wigan and every game til the end of the season , i believe he deserves it and not only that he is one of ours not some loanee who i said does not give a toss just wanting to up his pension ,call me cynical but that is how i feel

Regardless of the reasons brought him, he showed he truly cares and will give an honest effort. Not to mention he is on the opposite end of his career, he still hasn't established a name for himself in Europe and has more to play for. As far as not rating him, how can he not rate him after this game, the kid clearly has all the tools to be a very good player in England. Park was already established and was just here to collect a very large paycheck.

My dislike of Redknapp is well known here but I have tried to tone it down a bit because I know there are many who don't agree with me and that's fine, but if he doesn't give this boy a chance when he so richly deserves it then as far as I am concerned HR can rot in hell. The sooner he goes, the better.
By all means come back and tell me what a miserable B***** I am but I won't care.

Dunne will be available, so who gets dropped to accomodate Yun. One half decent game and hes the answer to all our problems?

Dunne should be dropped IMO, and Dunne being available doesn't make a difference to Yun. Yun is playing because we don't have another LB fit at the moment. Onouha at CB with Hill is a much better combo than Dunne and Hill which has been proved in recent weeks to be far too slow and Dunne has been making frequent mistakes. I don't think anyone is saying Yun is "the answer to all our problems", we're saying he is the best option we currently have at LB and played fantastically well on Saturday and also in pre-season.

Dunne has been our best center half by a mile this season and prob the best we have had in years. There is a anti Harry brigade (everyone entitled to their opinion), he is getting knocked for not playing Yun earlier. Yun was behind BAE, Traore and Hill. Harry will probably get knocked if he plays Yun tonight and he has a shocker. Personally id bring back Dunne tonight and Switch Hill to left back, but hey what do i know.

Dunne was our best centre half until December. Since then ha has made mistake after mistake. It's called tiredness. Yes, Yun was behind the three players you mentioned due to Harry refusing to play our youngsters but he should have been playing. As i've said before, he's good enough for South Korea but not Queens Park Rangers (Harry Redknapp). Our defence this season should have been Harriman, Ned, Hill, YSY. I am anti HR, but then I was before he joined & he has achieved nothing to change my mind on that or that we have wasted every minute since he was appointed.

I wouldnt say Dunne was tired, more to do with our change of system. We don,t play with 2 holding midfielders anymore. We Should never have changed that system IMO Im not knocking Yun, far from it. Hope he turns into a superstar for us.

Dunne WAS our best defender, no longer unfortunately. I mean he was already pretty slow but playing regularly has taken a quite evident toll on him and it's led to him making awful mistakes since christmas. Yun should never ever ever have been behind BAE, who I hope we never see play for us again. Harry would rather play players he's known for years over players who are actually more talented.

We have to make the playoffs; but we should also have cover for key positions match fit/given some games, etc - including goal

Best CB partnership all year was Dunne/Onuoha at the start of the season. When Onuoha was injured initially the impact was more problematic going forward as he carries the ball out well and BAE/Simpson are quite quick and offered decent cover. The problem at the back seems to have coincided with a loss of form by BAE , Simpson injury and Hill/Dunne's pace being found out...saying that, we still have the 3rd fewest goals conceded in the division.
The real problem has been goals and the promising aspects of recent form are Morrison's goals and Zamora's indian summer (seems fit for the first time since we bought him).
Didn't see Saturdays game but I think if Young's now a good option at left back great but lets remember he only played 3 games in two months on loan at Doncaster so perhaps he wasn't really that ready for 1st team football at the start of the season.

I agree with you that Onouha/Dunne was our best CB partnership at the start of the season however on recent form I would say Hill is playing an awful lot better than Dunne so it should be Onouha/Hill now. My defence for the rest of the season would be Simpson - Onouha - Hill - YSY
