Queens Park Rangers • Yossi Benayoun 45' +1' • Bobby Zamora 90' +4' • Ravel Morrison 90' +6' LIVE soccernet COMMENTARY STATS REPORT sQPR produce late show at Boro PA Sport Middlesbrough pressed the self-destruct button in stoppage time and crashed to a 3-1 home defeat to QPR.
Boro had led through George Friend, but Yossi Benayoun pegged it back and the game appeared to be heading for a draw.
However, Boro keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos completely misjudged a back-pass leaving Bobby Zamora free to stroll in and score during second-half injury time. And there was still time for Ravel Morrison to wrap it up for Harry Redknapp's side.
QPR went close twice within the opening two minutes as Boro failed to clear a corner and Joey Barton's 25-yard drive was palmed away by Konstantopoulos. Tom Carroll got to the rebound but the Greek keeper blocked his close-range follow-up with his feet.
The home team then took control and Friend and Jacob Butterfield had shots turned over and Kei Kamara bundled behind from a free-kick.
Boro got a scrappy opener on 18 minutes as left-back Friend wriggled into the box from the flank and, although he stumbled and lost the ball, it was generously deflected back into his path to stab a low eight-yard effort that squirmed through the hands of Rob Green and over the line.
Rangers grabbed an equaliser in first-half stoppage time as Boro's defence was pulled out of shape and Niko Kranjcar nipped it to drill in a shot that was deflected kindly for Benayoun to rifle in from close range.
Rangers were brighter after the break and had the bulk of the play but it was scrappy.
Boro went close on 63 minutes as Albert Adomah brought down a ball to the edge of the box neatly then skipped past his marker to fire in a low shot that was straight at Green.
Rangers responded as Junior Hoilett streaked forward to slam a low 25-yard shot straight at Konstantopoulos.
The game seemed to be heading for a draw when Boro lost concentration in stoppage time.
In the fourth minute of stoppage time a routine ball was played back towards Konstantopoulos and the keeper came out and took a swing at an attempted clearance and missed completely, leaving Zamora free to stroll through and tap home.
Two minutes later Morrison ran behind the defence to collect a diagonal cross and slammed home from 15 yards.

From the BBC www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26589061 Bobby Zamora and Ravel Morrison scored injury-time goals to earn Queens Park Rangers a dramatic victory at Middlesbrough. George Friend put the home side in front when he stabbed in from eight yards, before Yossi Benayoun equalised. With a draw likely, Boro goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos missed a backpass in the fourth minute of stoppage time, which allowed Zamora to score. Two minutes later Morrison ran on to Zamora's flick to score a third. The win, just QPR's third in 10 matches, keeps Harry Redknapp's team 10 points behind second-placed Burnley, in fourth. Mid-table Middlesbrough have won once in 11 matches. The hosts moved ahead when Friend drifted in from the left and collected a ricochet before turning the ball in. But Redknapp's side pulled level in first-half added time when Niko Kranjcar's blocked shot fell for Benayoun to score his first goal since May 2012. Junior Hoilett's powerful effort was held by Konstantopoulos before the Middlesbrough goalkeeper's error allowed Zamora to stroll through to tap in in the 94th minute. On-loan West Ham midfielder Morrison then scored his fifth goal in seven Rangers appearances to keep his team's slim automatic promotion hopes alive. Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka: "I don't believe it. I can explain what happened but I can't understand it. It has happened again. "It was a game we did not deserve to lose. We had a good chance to win at one end and then suddenly we have lost the game. "There was not much between the teams and we had chances but every week it is the same story. I just wish one game it would be us scoring in the last minute." QPR assistant manager Kevin Bond: "It certainly was a late, late show. "It seemed both teams had accepted a draw then in the last minute I really don't know where those two goals came from. "It was an amazing bobble to be fair to the keeper and it was a real gift for us."

Good to see Middlesbrough Manager NOT publicly blaming his Goalie Middlesbrough Official Site Our Luck Will Change IT was a familiar story as this time QPR took advantage of Boro's misfortune but Aitor Karanka is convinced his team's luck will soon change. George Friend celebrates after his first ever goal at the Riverside - Photo by North News The Head Coach was bitterly disappointed as Harry Redknapp's side struck with two goals at the death, including one when a horrible miscue from goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos let in Bobby Zamora for the easiest of finishes. "It's easy to explain but hard to understand," he said. "I can't believe it but it's the same story ever since I arrived here - a game we haven't deserved to lose again. We deserved to not just draw but win and we had a chance in the last second to do that. "It's football and I'm happy with the attitude of my players again and we have to think about the next game on Tuesday. "One of the good things about football is it quickly gives you another chance and we have another game and another opportunity to win. "I'm very happy with the attitude of the players in 85 or 90 per cent of the games since I came here. "I'm unhappy because we haven't won a lot of games and I'm here to win games. But I think our luck will change and we will score in the last minute instead of making mistakes." Asked about Konstantopoulos, Karanka said: "I can't say anything about Dimi because I've never said anything about players who've made mistakes in the past. "All I can say is I'm very happy with the games he's played and the saves he made in the game." www.mfc.co.uk/page/news/managers-message/0,,1~3726920,00.html

Reckon the groundsmen will be in for a bollocking on Monday Nothing to do with the groundsman. Didn't you see Bobby "prepare" the ground especially for his moment. He knew this was about to happen, otherwise he would have just been standing still & not movint towatrds the goal. Well done BZ, a brilliant piece of planning!
