Rodney William Marsh. Born 11 October 1944 in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

Chairman Jim Gregory signed Marsh for Rangers on Tuesday. March 15th, 1966 from Fulham for £15,000.

He played his first match for Rangers at Peterborough on Saturday. March 19th, 1966, and laid on a goal for John Collins in a 1-1 draw.
His first match at Loftus Rd was against Millwall on Saturday, March 26th, 1966. He scored two goals in that match resulting in a 6-1 win for Rangers.
His last game at Loftus Rd was against Blackpool. Saturday, 12th February, 1972. Rangers lost 1-0.
Rodney played his last game on Saturday, 4th March, 1972 away to Bristol City. He was substituted at half-time. Rangers lost 2-0.
The following week he was transferred to Manchester City for £200,000.

Rodney Marsh made 211 appearances and scored 106 goals.

Top Goal Scorer:Les Allen 30. Mike Keen & Jim Langley were ever present and played in all 46 matches.

The Floodlights from 1953 are replaced in November 1965 with structures twice the size and power of the originals.

Keith Sanderson signed from 2nd Division Plymouth Argyle. He gained a Soccer Blue at Cambridge University.

Les Allen scored 33 goals, John Collins 19 goals and Roger Morgan 15 goals in all competitions.

Roger Morgan became engaged to Miss Marilyn Bond of Chingford in 1966

Marsh (previously with Fulham) & Kelly (previously with Wimbledon) with Jim Gregory (chairman) both signed March 1966

Mark Lazarus taking on and beating the opposing left back.

Alan Glover with Alec stock signed apprentice forms for the club 12th April 1966

I know Stan Bowles has been voted "Best-ever-QPR" but Jeeze Rodney was good; And so much fun/a true "maverick" - and was very much THE Man in his QPR days; while Stan was just (maybe) the best of many
good players in his team (Francis, Venables or Bowles) Givens etc
