I'd suggest I see at least as much BS coming from the Official Site and from players/staff tweets than I do on the Boards.

At the end of the day, I think if we were third in the league and exciting to watch, most of us would be happy

The 1969/70 Season was for me a great, typical QPR season of those days...Ultimately No success...Some great results... Many great, exciting, attacking and ENJOYABLE football games - especially at Loftus Road

I think we are beginning to hear the first rumblings of discontent. Mondays performance against an average Derby side was dire, one which has become too frequent this season. The Reading game has now become even more significant, a defeat and I fear could be the beginning of the end of Harrys reign

Boring safety first football all season and we have been lucky in a lot of our wins.....glad i stopped going to lr not missed it one bit, and a team that's nearly as old as bush, if we do go up via playoffs we'll get murdered.

You don't sack a manager at this time of year when you are in 3rd place. Simple as that

Thought you stopped going over the smoking thing? 6 games, 4 wins, 1 draw and a defeat. Who would you recommend to take over to make it better. I agree entirely about us going up with this team. We'll get humiliated. But I dont think Harry will play this team.

I did stop going over the smoking ban, i am just stating that i have not missed going due to the boring sleep inducing football we play, and its too bluddy cold as well. So if we do go up, another new team, prev two seasons repeated and that done us a lot of good, no thanks will give it a miss and save me dosh.

I didn't quite expect this to be such an interesting thread!
As expected it divides the message board from those that cannot believe anyone could endorse a 'taxi for Harry' when we are second in the league to those that have sympathy. My concern is actually for next season.
IF we get promotion with this side then it is difficult to see any of the current squad not being up to standard with one of 2 exceptions although Austin/Philips are unproven at the top level. OK we have the potential for Remy back so we may actually have a better strike force that we have today....but who else? Green continues to frighten the life out of me........if the rest can't perform in a really average Championship then they will not cut it at the top table. I can't see ANY Premiership manager watching the Derby game and not rubbing their hands.....'well there's 6 points chaps if they come up'.
This point I think received common agreement. Whilst many players will be out of contract which will be brilliant, we will need a completely new team to stand any chance. Apparently we have no youngsters coming through although given the performance of Sterling at Liverpool we can produce them. Shame that we 'gave him away'. However we cannot blame the current board. It would be interesting to see Paladini's bank statements just after the move. How on God's earth did we allow a football agent to run QPR?
So we have to attract a huge number of players to Loftus Road that will not be on the paltry £30,000 a week that Luke Young gets given for doing.....er...nothing. Even rid of our 'super heroes' I can only see our wage bill under Harry going up. That's how he works. One minute he feels sorry for TF having the piss taken out of him with players wages and then signs Samba on (apparently) £100k a week. A player that was unfit and almost single handedly when he played got us relegated. It was all smiles and 'well good business' when we resold him. Good business? could have fooled me Harry.
Given that it seems the majority are in agreement about promotion surely it makes sense to build for the Premiership now, Premiership 2015/6? I for one would much rather us build a team that can hold its own in the top flight. Going up in 2015/16 to me would be so much better than Premiership relegation in 2015/16.
Short term-ism is part of the problem. People want results and want them NOW. I'd rather build the success of QPR in a sustainable way that doesn't rely on has been journeymen getting a final payday or players that believe they are better than they are.
Would a 'real' Rangers fan not want us to get promoted this year?
If I could see a future plan, built on young talent with a mixture of seasoned pros and a vision.......my answer would be yes.

I'd say that the trouble is NOT that the QPR Fans can't wait...Can't tolerate another season or two in this Division as we build a team not only to get us up but to stay up(as we did in 1972/73 and 1982/83)
Maybe some fans would be impatient...But gradual progress would be ok with me.
But it's finances...and the upcoming rules re spending...and Parachute Money...
Yes there are all sort of team-building difficulties if we go up this season and then have to buy a whole squad
But if we Don't go up this season - and certainly if not next season...
All kinds of limits on what we can spend...And no parachute money...
And the high wages we pay won't be allowed within the limits
And financially the bath, Fernandes et al are taking may be too massive.

Very disappointed in today's result, automatic promotion is looking very unlikely and I am almost certain this team would fail in the playoffs. I still believe they should not sack Harry right now. However, I think he will walk if not have a mutual agreement to part ways if the team fails to get promoted. Luckily a lot of this team is gone next season minus some of the younger talent like Austin, Phillips and Simpson. So they should easily be able to go younger with a younger manager. The backfield is ancient and it showed today.

Quick fixes never work. Rebuild in the summer, get in some decent scouts who know the lower divisions. Get rid of harry. Bring in a young progressive manager who has a long term strategy and the club needs one as well. Stop bringing in all these older players who have seen better days. Build around the core of young players we have, which is not many. If it takes a couple of seasons so be it. Build a young team to get promotion and one that has a chance of surviving the prem.......simples......

Onto Leeds. What I'd give for a run of hard fought 1-0 wins again right now. Here's hoping.

I have felt by Harry's body language during this season that he is not 100% committed to the job. He is always giving credit to the other teams and not upset enough about our own poor performances. I just wander if he is thinking about earning a good wage for this season and retiring.
