Good point! What was the attacking set up at Burnley, did they have the hold up player that Austin fed off, balls into the box (a player in the box, remember that) or were there 2 agile strikers working together? Austin scores and assists so he can play with either. However, I suspect Harry will pair him with Zamora with AJ off the bench when Bobby tires. I'll be surprised & disappointed if he doesn't play with Andrew Johnson, with Bobby Zamora stabled.

I understand that Austin said "What convinced me to join QPR was the golden opportunity to play alongside all time greats like Bobby Zamora. He has been my idol for many years and I feel I can learn so much from him." (God, I am such a liar!) You had me going then lol

He was a top lad and the right sort, so hopefuly we will give him a good reception when Forest come to ours. Yes of course but interesting coincidence you should mention the reception Mackie will get from us against Forest because Austin will have the same issue so I am told. A mate of mine is a Forest fan and they were very strongly in for him as was reported in the press. The rumour is that The deal collapsed after Austin said something derogatory about Forest. Prolly sour grapes though and I could not find any evidence of this after a quick search.

Good signing , but i still think we need another striker . I don't. Until we get rid of Remy we have four strikers and I'm not sure we will get rid of him until January.

To the tune of "Champagne Charlie Is My Name."
All together now, on the count of three. Ah 1, Ah 2, Ah 3,
Rangers Charlie is my name,
Scoring Goals is my game,
Watch me score the winner before your home for dinner,
,Cause Rangers Charlie is my name.

What about this? (In the tune of Charlie Brown) CHARLIE'S BOUND (do do dooo do-do) CHARLIE'S BOUND (do do dooo do-do) TO SCORE A GOAL (do do dooo do-do) YES, CHARLIE'S BOUND HE'S GONNA FIND THE GOAL JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE! (DEEP VOICE) WHY HE'LL PROBABLY SCORE TWO GOALS OR THREE! Ok...not your traditional football tune but I thought that was rather humorous of me

Interesting to see Charlie's old club doing so well. Earlier in the year Burnley didn't know where their goals were going to come from after their 28 goal scoring machine left to join us and up steps a 21 year old, Ings, a nd has banged in 7 so far, most in open play.
Sounds like a criticism of Charlie I know. Its not meant to be. I am sure the team will just 'click' and he'll get a hatfull - he's certainly putting in the effort. Just interesting to see.
QPR v Burnley home and away will be lively

I was wondering how many years he signed for, there is no way we can afford to sell him this season. Hopefully he can stay here a while longer, but if he wants to go to a bigger club eventually we will have to let him leave. Just looking at a name mentioned in this thread, Ings and playing against Vardy yesterday, I would take either of those if they go down, we stay up and Charlie makes it known he wants European football.
