Well Mac, I agree that seems a little strange, why can't the manager handle that? But that aapart, good noises from Ferdinand and hopefully what he says is what will happen.
Perhaps he has learnt from mistakes done.

Good to see after mentioning at last months meeting with Ian Taylor about Tony Fernandes controlling himself on twatter and keeping things "in house" at the club.

I fail to see why Fernandez should be as horrible as you suggest.

I fail to see why Fernandez should be as horrible as you suggest. It's probably the plans to take the ground leaving us as paying tenants in a stadium that we don't need, whilst in the meantime running up a huge debt at the club's expense and over charging the fans who go to matches to watch absolute rubbish, all the time slowly eroding the club's identity to become a marketing tool for his other businesses, resulting in relegation, a massive 14 points from safety. Still they are nice tweets.

Dave McIntyre on Facebook
David McIntyre Absolute tosh being posted by the chairman even by his standards. The main issue at QPR is not and never has been players and agents taking the club for a ride. It's the owners taking the club for a ride - and a consequence of that has been the arrival of various bad eggs.

Well maybe not so bad. He is putting his mouth where his money is. Give it a dozen or so games then if we ain't on the road to promotion, his fighting talk will surely come back to haunt him........ And lets' face it, Immediate promotion is the only option: no excuses.

I have to say I'm beginning to tire of the negative attitude on here. I've always found this board to be more realistic and not just swallowing anything the board hands you.
That is great!
But there is a line where this just turns into conspiracy theories and to be honest, this last year I feel the board as a whole gives that impression.
It saddens me to say this, considering I was once an active moderator on here.
To each their own - and I very much disagree with Dave MCs opinion above. On other social media places he gets quite a lot of stick for that posting.
I will simply stop using this site it is just depressing to read nowadays.

Personally can't see anything wrong with the tweets.... At least he puts money into the club. The fat orange man spent eff all. The ground is to small and dated the training ground is crap. The chairman uses twitter so is in a good position to fine players. To many it wouldn't matter what TF says he can do no right. All those still moaning ... is this because apparently we should now be bankrupt, after all isn't this what was supposed to happen when we went down? Moan Moan Moan all that some can do on here.

My comments are taken from things that have actually happened rather than based on faith or hope. Philip Beard stated that we would be tenants in the new stadium, something we are not at the moment, hence the club receives the match day revenue rather than having to pay to play there after having it's one of it's main sources of income taken away from it. Look at Coventry for a real example of how this is not in the best interest of the club right now. In order to be able to pay for the new stadium the club needs to build a Premiership team capable of competing in the Premiership by hiring the right football people and creating the right environment for that to happen. Obviously the board have failed at this aim in their first two years, in Tony's own words they f*cked up and they dumped the cost of that on the club in the form of loans adding to our debt, which we owe to them, so they haven't even put their money where their mouths are. The prices are very high and the quality of football on offer and the standard of the match day experience do not even come close to justifying the cost. Two wins at home last season with players that couldn't be arsed was hard to take and was the result of buying players primarily to raise the profile of the club for marketing purposes rather than try and build a decent squad. We were relegated as a result of this, by 14 points and so I don't have a theory, just facts. Rather than judge Fernandes by what he says, I'll judge him by his actions and results and turn up each week to support.

I think these tweets undermine the position of both Harry and phil beard. To me it's a short trip from being in charge of discipline and fines to deciding who plays. I wish tony would simply choose people to manage the club and business and act like a chairman rather than as the md of a small business

There's absolutely no shortage of QPR posters on the boards proclaiming "Oh Tony. We love you. And you love us!"
I think that any opinion can be expressed as long as it's not gratuitously insulting.
If a number of posters are "annoyingly' negative, really nothing we as a board can do except to encourage positive posters to post if they want.
I'm not a believer in "conspiracies" per se. And I don't see others expressing conspiracies.
But to point to Fernandes as being involved just out of his own good heart is probably not the case.
He's doing it to make money/build a brand, promote his other interests. And there's nothing intrinsically wrong with that - if QPR as a club also benefit. (Whether they do is something else)
And it's certainly not negative/conspiratorial to keep track of what's being spent; who owns the debt; who owns the stadium; compare past statements with current statements etc.
And so forth.
"Maude" is probably at the "extreme" end re Fernandes - and that - and he can say it better than me - is because he feels even if Fernandes is up an up, his GOAL of converting the club is opposite to how Maude wants his club to be.
Now I understand it's a little of a vicious cycle since if it's as you perceive you may not want to post, and so forth. I understand that.
And I obviously regret that

i do not feel that what i say or post is extreme regarding fernandes.
i have no agenda to get him out, he has not slept with my wife, (yet). i have not borrowed money off him and then be told he is going to break my legs or else.
my posts are not negative in my opinion, i feel that they are the most positive posts i've made.
all those that think i moan and bore i apologize. i 'moan and bore' because i care for my club, i care for the support of this club, i care because i know that fernandes is not doing what a owner should do, i care cos my club will not be marketed out of existence as long as i am a supporter, i care cos i want my grandchildren and theirs, and all of yours to know what it is like watching QPR on a saturday afternoon at a ground that is fit for our 'purpose'.
i do not live in the past, i quite like change, i would like us to conquer europe and sign messi.
but this is QPR right? its the team that you have loved since you first saw them in that fantastic blue and white hooped shirt. its the team that has only won one major trophy in its existence.....and what do you care about that?.....nothing i guess.
we will be what we always will be, the team that you first supported all those years ago.
wouldnt it be gutting to see QPR lift a trophy without a home to go back to and a lost identity to even remember it.

I don't agree with the posts against Fernandes but I feel the guys who do are entitled to their opinions and if we all agreed with each other there would be no need for these forums as we would have nothing to debate and that's what we're doing debating the running of our club. Ok things may get a little heated sometimes but that's because we care.

Doesn't matter what tony says the same faces will pop up and slag it off and pick holes in it...I've accepted that is just part of this message board and ignore it now...shame that people are leaving the messageboard over it though. TF is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't he's in an impossible situation and I doubt that'll ever change. Everything he says there sounds positive to me. Good on him.

TF is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't he's in an impossible situation and I doubt that'll ever change. Everything he says there sounds positive to me. Good on him. Haha but it's this kind of attitude that is exactly what other users are actually highlighting. As Macmoish says, there's a line there (not being "gratuitously insulting", for example) - for me that line is more in terms of what is 'worth' putting on a messageboard. There's a difference between "Fernandes is crap" and "I think Fernandes is crap because..." because the latter, if you agree or disagree, will at least make something worth debating. Because if people don't come here for opinions and debate then I wonder why on earth anyone would ever bother with messageboards. There's always some give and take cos it's the club we love so people will post spur of the moment in passion, comes with the territory to some extent, but I think most people here accept that. So from that, what pisses me off is people who have a problem with "negativity" (which is frequently nothing to do with negativity at all, it rather just boils down to "someone has a critical opinion of the boardroom ") but offer nothing in return. So like with the quote above, complaining about people being negative and how that's such a shame for the messageboard...and then just saying everything sounds positive. Offering no counterpoint (i.e. the point of a messageboard) - I really cannot see why that is any better or any more or less annoying. People complain about "negativity", someone like Markqpr goes through the trouble to explain his point of view and offer counterpoints...and the response is just to complain. No effort to say why they think he's wrong. Just complaining about him having the temerity to have an opinion that's critical and ignoring anything that's said. Maybe I'm being selfish but I would like to read WHY people think he's wrong. The people complaining seem to think it's totally fine to say "Tony is wonderful" and but not "Tony is crap". Both are as bad as each other in terms of messageboard content for me. Ironically, for a messageboard, that's what I find negative - if I wanted to read people not explaining their views i'd just go on twitter. What I'm saying is that I will happily read through debates pro, anti or pensively neutral about our boardroom if they bring up points of debate because to me that's a decent contribution, whether I agree or not. What I find more boring and annoying than any kind of supposed negativity is people having a go at people for having critical thoughts and opinions about the club they pile money and passion into. Not everyone thinks the sun shines out of Tony's arse and they often have the decency to explain why they feel that way - either counter that and contribute to the debate or just click X on your browser.

Like others, I think it's really sad to see people feeling they need to leave a messageboard over anything. But I actually think you are (unintentionally) being pretty rude here. It's saying to other fans who have taken the time to form a different opinion about how the club is ran that not only is their view pointless because it's negative, but that you would rather leave a messageboard rather than give that opinion the time of day or bother to respond with a counter argument. I genuinely have not seen anything on this board that I would consider in the realms of "conspiracy theories" (if you ignore the transfer threads ) so I would be interested to see where the arguments about the boardroom go into territory akin to faking the moon landing or the world being ran by lizards? I find it pretty rude that you seem to be wanting people to feel sorry for you because you cannot tolerate differences of opinion regarding the clubs the boardroom. The joy of conspiracy theories is that they tend to be easy to de-bunk - and yet I rarely see people attempting to do that. Rather just complaints about negativity, repeating that everything is fine and threatening to leave. If your reason for leaving is essentially that people have a critical view of Fernandes and have taken the time to say WHY they think that then I don't really know what to suggest.

As others have said we won't all agree, but at least we have it direcly from the horse's mouth I think my problem with the tweeting is not the fact that he's being communicative - I agree, I think hearing what he has to say is a positive thing. It's just the frequency of it and the way he does it. The other side of the coin is that him tweeting can be seen as a substitute for real and regular consultation with the support base in a proper and structured way. You don't get these issues with clubs like Swansea, for example, because their boardroom debates with supporters in a formal, considered way - while they're having board meetings with fan reps over ticket pricing, Fernandes is soliciting retweets and the occasional free match tickets. That situation is seemingly improving, though, which is good. It just all seems, for lack of a better word, unprofessional. My fear is that just because he keeps appearing on my twitter feed doesn't mean he is actually any "closer" to the fanbase.
