Cisse has to be the most disappointing for me. Not only did he show what he could do for us last season by banging in goals left, right and centre, propel himself up to hero status with his unforgettable goal against Stoke, but I wrote a massive piece about him being "born to play for QPR" in the close season!!!
I'd still welcome him back for next season though. Sorry.

Sorry. same here roller. goes against every fibre in me. but i reckon he is a player we should try to keep. goals goals and more goals. fans on his side for a long period he would do more damage than remy.

I dont believe him.Funny how he becomes 'physically unable ' at the precise moment he gets a 'take it or leave it 'offer for a management job.If he gets POTY , that would really top off a crap, DIS HONEST season for me.

Indeed. Anyway I didnt answer the OP's original question.
Ryan Nelsen. Showed as much love or comittment to our club at the end as Joey Barton. I would've loved to have seen him take Samba in hand like he did at Blackburn but no, he ditched us .

So lets revisit all the threads on Ryan Nelsen that we had in January.
Some Rangers supporters castigated him for leaving. Others (including me) thought that he had to put his personal future first & that meant moving into management.
We should not name anyone as POTY but if the award has to be given, Nelsen wins it by a landslide. In three months he contributed more to this club than the rest of the players combined throughout the season.
I wonder if pommyhoop was one of the few of us that were pleased when we signed Nelsen? Most thought it was another final payout to an over the hill freeloader.
If your in the first category, then you are entitled to be disappointed with him. If your in the second category you have no right to be disappointed in a man who exceeded all of your hopes.

I would've loved to have seen him take Samba in hand like he did at Blackburn but no, he ditched us . In my life I've had a few jobs. When I have moved I've mostly moved for money so that me and my family can have a better life. On one occassion I didn't because I liked the group of people I worked with so much it offset the money - I suppose that's loyalty, but to whom I am not sure. I don't know how different it is in football because I have never been in that environment, but I can observe. It seems to me that over the years 'football' has become a more mercenary sport with only a very few, in the prem anyway, sticking around because of loyalty (and very often I believe loyalty can also mask a player being not quite good enough and he stays because no one else wants him - look how loyal Rob Hulse was). It is very obvious to me that the mark of a player isn't that he leaves for betterment for himself and his family if an opportunity comes along but that whilst he is contracted to us he shows spirit, determination and a will to win. Opportunity doesn't always present itself just when you want it to and sometimes it doesn't come at the right time. For Nelsen I think it did come at the right time. He was getting toward the end of his playing career and I think Rory is right in that at his age Nelsen has a greater chance of lasting damage if he carries on for 'one more' season - doesn't mean to say he can't run now, but if he carried on with the intensity that the prem (and he himself) demanded then he won't be able to in the future. It's a pity that some other players didn't display the fighting spirit that Nelsen did.

I think even Baz might be a bit disappointed in 'Our Man' tonight. He's not a defender in a million years. Sell Sell Sell!

Most of the squad I'll throw another name in Julio Cesar In our 6 wins this season Rob Green has played in 5 of them! Says alot about Cesar, other than his Jan purple patch and the odd game he has been a suspect Mercenary if ever i saw one!
