Bump - 3 Years Ago 23/04/2013 By West London Sport QPR manager Harry Redknapp will not be forced to sell players in the summer, the Daily Mirror report. The club were widely tipped to lose current members of the squad and make cutbacks once their relegation from the Premier League is confirmed. But, quoting from Rangers chief executive Philip Beard’s programme notes for Saturday’s game against Stoke, it is now being suggested that under-contract players may stay. Beard wrote : “We agreed that if we’re relegated, we have to bounce straight back.“To do this, we need the strongest squad possible and for that reason every player under contract must stay unless we get the right offer and Harry agrees to let them go. “The commitment of the shareholders, including Amit Bhatia, is clear for all to see, and despite what has been a desperately disappointing season, the long-term future is very bright.” www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/beards-programme-notes-lead-to-reports-that-qpr-may-not-sell-players

The concept that many of these players are just not suited for the Championship doesnt seem to occur to Beard...

Good, I'm glad they understand the concept of competition football. “To do this, we need the strongest squad possible and for that reason every player under contract must stay unless we get the right offer and Harry agrees to let them go. The fact that he thinks we've got a strong squad shows that despite the performances on the pitch proving otherwise, he still just see's a list of names he recognises even though they have proved themselves of being barely capable of competing at any level. Mk Dons beating us 2-4 after beating them the previous season seems to have gone unnoticed by him. Very worrying. “The commitment of the shareholders, including Amit Bhatia, is clear for all to see, and despite what has been a desperately disappointing season, the long-term future is very bright.” Yes for them, it is. The recent £15m loan shows that their commitment to loading the club with debt, internal and now external shows no sign of abating. Any chance that commitment to the club and fans could be reflected in cheaper season tickets and actual investment instead of loans? They're maybe trouble ahead......................

;D
How does he know?
I don't remember him saying we'd be in the relegation zone at this stage of this season.
If he can't see what's under his nose, how could he possibly know what will happen in the future?
If he can predict the results of any - ANY - five consecutive QPR games correctly, I'll sit up and take notice.
If he can't, how can he know the future, which depends on the results of hundreds and thousands of such games, against sides his handlers don't own, can't control, and cannot even envisage.
I am concerned that someone like this is the stadium manager. Maybe that's why he's so sure the Club will lose it.
Surprise, surprise.

As opposed to what The USA kept saying something about lights during the Vietnam War or supposedly when you're dying, you see those lights...

I am afraid Mr Beard is wearing decking rose tinted glasses if he thinks we will get straight back to the Premier League with this team ,a team of uncaring ,overpaid mercenaries ,who don't give a shit about the club ,so if he thinks we will bounce straight back I am afraid he is sadly mistaken ,if we have any chance there has to be a major overhaul of the squad ,and what we need are players that are committed to the club ,a fact that sadly seems to be missing with some of the current squad ,a lot of them in their displays this season have not been fit to wear the hoops jersey ,I expected so much from this season after saving Premier our Premier League status last season ,boy was I wrong it has been a complete unmitigated disaster and I quite frankly will be glad when it is over ,with beards comments we don't seem to have learned anything ,one thing I would hope though is that tf has in fact learned that you cannot keep throwing money at a problem & hope to fix it ,this remedy has clearly not worked ,the whole Premier League experience has been a complete disaster & I for one would not bother too much if we did not bounce straight back ,I want a team that when we do get promoted is able to compete at the highest level & if it takes time to build a team like that then so be it ,I also believe that the future of this football club lies with the youth and I just hope hr realises it that is if he stays of course ,finally let's get back to playing the football we were known for and not the crap we have seen this season enough said

What's made these so-called good players into a bunch of un-caring mecenaries I don't know and I don't think anyone can work it out. Maybe it wasn't even Hughes' fault, HR couldn;t get any more out of them, and we've even made so called top draw defender samba look like someone I'd run rings around in sunday league football!!!!

"Harry agrees to let them go" ____________________________ I bet it's occurred to Harry Exactly, you can already tell he knows from his recent interview talking about playing in the Championship. This is why I hope he atleast stays for next season. He is the only person at the higher part of this organization that has a clue. I do not trust TF with the summer transfer window. Sure, maybe Tony did the actual negotiations, but I am betting Harry gave him a list of who to get and who to send out.

We all know Redkapp's many flaws. But he also Knows what he's doing/ knows about football. About players and agents and owners. And obviously has the aura and respect of owners. That's not to be sneezed at
