Surely Financial Fair Play only affects us if we reach a European competition, IIRC? You are correct. If we find ourselves anywhere near Europe in the next few years you can count on the club announcing a huge sponsorship deal with a big company

If we find ourselves anywhere near Europe in the next few years you can count on the club announcing a huge sponsorship deal with a big company I wonder what is to stop that deal being with a company that is in Tony or the Mittal's portfolio. Financial fair play rules can probably have rings run around them. And I think the FFP rules state that the club must operate within it's own self generated turnover with a certain timeframe. What is to stop a club buying a hotel and then using the artificially inflated turnover to again circumvent the rules . I thought that the rules did not stipulate that the wages must not exceed a certain percentage of turnover but just that a club must be solvent. Is there a mechanism that links turnover to wages?

i sincerely hope Green has the sense to stay away from forums, because in my view some were just waiting for him to fail so they could roll out the usual nonsense.whether we had signed Cesar or not detracts from the fact that Green plays for us and deserves to be given a fair crack of the whip. Good point, and i would at least give the lad a season,he's been with us for five minutes for crying out loud, give him a chance! Cheers, Jay

I think that when a player signs to play with QPR, they are not looking for financial rewards, or looking at winning trophies, rather they are looking for The Meaning of Life.

No its not madness. If a 'gem' like this comes along and you have the chance of getting it then GO FOR IT
Cesar is unlikely to start until after the City match. I expect he will be given 2 or 3 games max to prove he is superior to Green - and I think he will.
On that basis he will be our No 1 keeper and I fully expect Green to then move on in January, with a younger and cheaper replacement taking his place.
Green had his chance and has fluffed it. At Premiership level and on his wages it is simply not acceptable to make so many mistakes and expect to still be first choice. Its tough but I am sure 250K a month makes it very palatable.
So if he goes in January, he will have cost us maybe 1.5 million in wages. Maybe we can get 1 million in trf fee?

Imagine the experience and skill he can pass down to Aaron Lennox
