Good piece, you have a real talent Roller. =============================== It was Swansea won the toss and turned us though.

I agree we gotta stop attacking the Loft in the first half. It means the crowd are less of a factor when we need it in the later part of the game. I didnt notice who won the toss, but if we did and chose it that way then somone is not doing their homework.

An epitaph! Really Maude? Which part of my thoughts were that different to yours? Were you not full of optimism before the start of the match? Were you not deflated well before the end of the match? Did you not sit and reflect on the match after it was over and manage to restore your belief?

2 people predicted we would lose and to be fair they been qpr supporters long enough not to have got over excited by all the hype.
unfortunately we got carried away a bit by the over excitement and talk of the owners saying this and saying that and as already mentioned on this board in several places talk is cheap.
i think from now on we should just look forward to playing against the best in the world for luckily at least one more season and if it lasts any longer than that then well its a bonus.
for me it will be another struggle judged on game 1 and if it improves then hey brilliant if not then well thats us as usual.

Sorry roller for the abrupt review Think your writing is atmospheric and true of the majority that day. But mate, i've lost count of bad days at loftus rd. I think i'm immune, so apologies for not feeling it. Nether the less, top writing.

I think i'm immune, so apologies for not feeling it. Nether the less, top writing. We've all seen those bad days mate, that one just hit me very hard. I really didn't expect that. However we've all seen the good days too. If you let yourself get too immune to the bad days can you really enjoy the good ones? As for the writing, I don't claim to be especially tactically aware or astute, I certainly have no insight into the players, all I can express is how I see it and how I feel about it.

I'm optimistic we can end up with a decent season
My dark moments tell me we have had this group together since May, last year's opening day hammering was suffered by a team who were pretty much introduced to each other on matchday
My dark moments remind me you can't buy a new team every six months and expect continuity. The shopping has to stop and Sparky must make the best of a quality group of individuals, not keep running to TF for more buying
My dark moments remind me that we have already squandered the momentum we gained from a great end of season
My dark moments nag away with the same question; how could we lose to this team we trounced in March under Hughes - and indeed always seem to trounce.
My dark moments are amplified by the reaction of the manager - was it that candid? I didn't hear Sparky taking any responsibility, I did hear " performance unacceptable, no positives" I must have missed the bit where he said " Poor selection, poor formation, poor tactics, poor substitutions - my fault, my job to fix it "
I hope the stiff, bracing easterly breeze that blows across Carrow Road will consign my dark moments to the memory of a bad dream..
