Do the players that got the four points deserve to start ahead of Rooney?
He's not played football for over a month. Does this mean he'll be chomping at the bit, stale or even frothing at the mouth?
If so, would you drop, Carroll, Welbeck or Young?
Just thought I'd ask as we had some interesting discussions on this indoors yesterday evening.

First, I don't think there's any doubt he will start.
I guess it depends how he's been in training, but yes I think he should. I despise him, but I think he's the best we've got. And England are really not that good...

I don't know. I can see both sides of this.
As you said he is not match sharp plus he hasn't played well for England in a very long time.
On the other hand Welbeck hasn't really been that good, despite his goal. Carroll was great against Sweden IMO and deserves another chance.

For me Rooney would be the first name on the sheet.
Whoever gets drop at his expense would have known this even before they left England for the Championships.
I hope this makes it a little clearer CPR.
Rooney Rooney Rooney.
By the way , I love his new found hair.

No he shouldnt, Carrol and Welbeck both scored in a winning team, and Rooney is usually sh!te in tournaments, he will probably get sent off.

I'm sure he'll start but personally I wouldn't change a winning team. If they are losing then bring him on at half time. If not then with half an hour to go. That should be more than enough time to score a couple and earn a start in the next round.

So the general view is he will start but probably shouldn't.

Seems to be the concensus from the limited survey.
Is it enough to go public?
It would be for BBC Breakfast news and the Daily Mail. ;D

No he shouldnt, Carrol and Welbeck both scored in a winning team Rooney should start. Drop Young and play thru the middle. Rest Milner and bring on the Ox and see if he can link up with Rooney and Gerard in the middle to create chances for Wellbeck and Carroll. If it doesn't work, bring on Walcott and Young and run at 'em once their legs are tired. And his hair is poo. I would have hoped they washed it before they stuck it on his head.

Course he should start, be doing that Ukraine defence a favour if he doesn't, I'd play him with Carroll.

Personally I like the blazing speed that England have up front. I hate Ashley Young but Roys found a use for him in this side so I'd say Rooney comes on after an 60-70 minutes.

And the only goal he delivered my dead granny could have scored. F*** knows what he did with that overhead kick. I've seen 12 year olds keep the ball lower from similar positions. I hope they ducked in Row 100.
