i think we know Hughes 3 players he wants are Hoilett,Ki and Samba , if we took anyone else , probably 31/8 if a decent player was there , like defoe. Yes, and Jarvis seems to be the Plan B if we can't get Hoilett.

Better Luc next time! Inter Milan reject QPR's bid for striker Castaignos
Rangers' £3m attempt to beat a string of Premier League clubs to the young Dutchman falls short - but they will go back with a better offer
Outta Milan? Castaignos is frustrated after a bit-part season with Inter Mark Hughes has had a £3million bid for Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos rejected.
QPR boss Hughes is in competition with West Ham and Everton for the 19-year-old, who is desperate for regular first-team action.
Dutchman Castaignos wants out of Milan after making just eight appearances last season - scoring one goal – following a move from Feyenoord in his homeland.
Liverpool , Newcastle and Spurs have also shown an interest.
West Ham are keen on a season-long loan, but QPR want to buy Castaignos outright and are set to improve their offer.

Big Mac attack: QPR's Mackie in talks over £3.5m move to Blackburn Championship side hope the Scotland forward will agree to return to the ground where he suffered horror leg break 18 months ago Heading out? Mackie's camp are in discussions with Blackburn PA Blackburn boss Steve Kean is making an ambitious £3.5million bid to sign Queens Park Rangers' Scotland forward Jamie Mackie. Kean has approached his Hoops counterpart Mark Hughes with an offer for Mackie and is now in discussions with the player's camp about a move to the Championship promotion hopefuls. Mackie has just signed a contract extension after playing a major part in Rangers' successful survival battle last season, but may be squeezed out of the side in the coming campaign. Striker Andy Johnson, who played for Hughes at Fulham has already signed for QPR on a Bosman and Rangers have also been linked with Craig Bellamy, the Liverpool, Wales and Great Britain striker who Hughes has previously signed for Manchester City and, ironically, Blackburn. However, the pacy forward will have personal demons to overcome if he does join Rovers. He broke his leg in an FA Cup tie between QPR and Blackburn at Ewood Park in January 2011 and spent almost nine months on the sidelines. Field of screams: Mackie grimaces in pain after breaking his leg at Blackburn Getty Kean, who has a vacancy in attack with Junior Hoilett set to leave, and will have cash to buy Mackie from owners Venky's after appealing for an injection of cash. If Mackie says yes to the move, it may even open the door for a possible exchange deal involving Hoilett, as QPR are among the clubs he has spoken to. The young Canadian still prefers to go to Germany, where he's been linked with Borussia Monchengladbach, but Rangers may be able to get back in the race if Mackie goes the other way. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-gossip-qprs-jamie-mackie-1144775

more than 1 tweet on this....ugliest Portuguese footballer alive My head would explode, he may in the top 5 ugliest footballers on the planet but he is a world class CB He looks like a mix of Michael Jackson after his surgeries and Michael Jackson before his surgeries. But he would be THE signing as a defender. But let's not forget that Onuoha's best position is centre-back, so maybe Mark Hughes would sign another full-back and field Onuoha in central defence again.

Barton move to Blackburn far from certain as Wednesday enter race for QPR rebel By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER PUBLISHED: 22:50, 16 July 2012 | UPDATED: 22:50, 16 July 2012 Comments (0) Share Sheffield Wednesday are rivalling Blackburn and Nottingham Forest’s interest in taking QPR’s Joey Barton on loan. The 29-year-old is banned for the first 12 games of the season following his shocking sending-off against Manchester City on the final day of last season when he elbowed Carlos Tevez and scuffled with City players amid ugly scenes. Loan Ranger: Joey Barton is set to leave QPR temporarily this summer Barton was stripped of the captaincy at Loftus Road, fined six weeks' wages and removed from QPR’s pre-season tour of Asia. However, manager Mark Hughes still recognises Barton’s ability as a player and sees a loan to the Championship, where there is a greater volume of league games over the early part of the season, as an ideal way to run down the player's ban quickly. Meanwhile, Bolton are looking at Bristol City's 28-year-old midfielder Kalifa Cisse, and Burnley have invited Latvia central defenders Nauris Bulvitis, 25, and Marcis Oss, 20, for trials. I for one, would sell Mackie in a heartbeat for Hoilett. I wouldn't even think about it. Blackburn can take their £3.5m bid and stick it up their ******. It's not as if the Mackie deal is pivotal to Hoilett signing for us.

Feather Bruno Alves that goes Qpr ... (Getty images) There are many meetings in the coming days by Adriano Galliani, with various clubs and players' agents. The list is thick, there are names of some important players like Rolando, Astori, Danilo Bruno Alves and finally, Udinese. In fact, as reported by Gianluca di Marzio, the program 'Football Special', there are some new features of these four names. Concerning the first there is a strong pressing of Fenerbahce, who flew to Porto to pick up the Portuguese defender, who, however, prefer the destination Italy, especially Milan. On Astori there are no further changes after the renewal of contract with Cagliari. Instead of Bruno Alves, it would seem that it is a step away from Queens Park Rangers, who have offered to the coffers of the Zenit 14 million euros in the next few hours is expected for the official announcement. A goal that fades. Danilo, after an initial approach by the Rossoneri, the club has categorically expressed Friulian not want to sell the player.

Not sure on Alves. Already 30 and expensive. Did Pepe's speed hide his lack of pace at Euro 2012 or was it hidden by his positioning?

The fact that in Hughes' short reign he has signed 3 strikers suggests that he doesn't think much of DJ and Bothroyd so it wouldn't surprised me he was after another striker in Castaignos.

he is not going for the money rory he is going for the glory. and i said it stinks from day 1 i wouldnt want him anyway now as i called it ( toilet) Why wouldn't you want him?? He's one of the top talents in the Prem. arguably better than Tarbs Rubbish Rory, take our Championship winning season, if you had swapped them two no way would Hoilett have had that impact . Taarabt's potential is massive, I can see him being one of the best players in the Prem next season.
