As you didn't mention it, I guessed we'd lost. (

I thought the subject title "Youth Cup FT: QPR Lost 1-2 QPRs Ollie Off" would be a clue! Yes we lost 2-1.

I went along to the game last night. Grimsby were by far the better team and deserved their win playing some nice football. Their No 10 was the MOM for me, I think his name was Josh Fuller. Out of our boys German and Parker were the best of the bunch. I also thought Elliot Cox looked like a player with potential. All in all an enjoyable evening.
Good Luck in the league boys.
Come on you Soopah Yoofah!

So why are little Grimsby better than mighty QPR? Are their players better? Are they better coached/trained? Or just played better on the night?

I'm sure Grumpyolde would know the answer to that but I think they probably just played better on the night. We were very close to getting a goal towards the end and that was after playing with 10 men for the last half an hour. 11 v 11 and I think we could have nicked it. I think we would all agree that academy status is a must for any team wanting to succeed long term and the fact we haven't even made noises about that is a worry.
