First a poster comes along and posts on WATRB's site about purported comments from Sousa: I thought I read that Sousa denied this meeting. But whatever. Let's just assume there really was this conversation. So Sousa went to the bother of having this conversation. Sousa's comments were full of inaccuracies (which Pete is able to "clarify" . And Sousa gets fired. People think because of things he said. "[Sousa] went on to tell me that the day he became manager the board signed Helguson EVEN THOUGH he failed a medical!" Now Pete comes along and says "Just for the record Helgusson never failed a medical, played and scored for Iceland 3 days before signing for QPR, nice piece on the official web-site, the day he signed." (Carrying on from Pete's other refutation of Sousa's claim: The poster reported Sousa said: "He wanted to bring in a left back from portugal who he said was exactaly what we needed, baring in mind this player was a FREE TRANSFER the board wouldnt back him." Pete's response "By the way the Portugal defender was wanted for £300,000 for which Sousa would have got a cut n the deal." It's just so hard to know what to believe. Except we know that Sousa's no longer here, for the stated reasons we've heard.

Who could deny that... [use your imagination; or conspiracy skills]
I choose not to believe that the conversation happened. A man with a reputation recklessly ranting with a stranger fan on the street? I'm not eager to believe it was a conspiracy, but I just don't buy this mysterious conversation.

"...It came to the Club's attention that Mr De Sousa had, without authority, divulged highly confidential and sensitive information. The Club, with legal advice, responded in this way to protect its position." - The Club Statement, QPR Official Site
"Firstly, despite what has been reported in the press, Paulo wasn't sacked by QPR. Paulo's contract was terminated, after he - without authority - divulged highly confidential and sensitive information. The Club, with legal advice, responded in this way to protect its position." - Briatore's Comment, QPR Official Site
[Such similiarity of language!]
Maybe I don't understand enough, but Sousa acknowledging that Blackstock had gone without his knowledge wouldn't seem to fit within that characterization....
So back to that (supposed) conversation and what Sousa (ostensibly) said?

"divulged highly confidential and sensitive information."
Well, they'll have to prove that. Or did they take "Wozza's" word for it ("God's honest truth")?

the conversation between the fan certainly happened. Like i said before and debated on "that" thread - the bloke was pro sousa. Whether it was the reason he got terminated no-one knows

Scott, why are you so sure it happened?

Scott, why are you so sure it happened? Because the geezer said it did and he has nothing to gain from lieing. That and there's photos of him and PS together that his bird (i think it was his bird) took. The bloke is in bits appara as he thinks it's his fault that PS got the sack. Personally, I can't see how one conversation is enough legally to get him the boot so there must be more to it that none of us will probably ever know about

Scott, how do you know he is whom he says he is?
A photo? Let's say you (the board) plan to to screw up Sousa: you hire a geezer, he gets a photo with PS, registers at several messageboards and writes down a conversation he didn't have.
That or Sousa IS mad enough to tell such things to anyone he pops into.

But IF Sousa really did tell the poster that: Then there are follow up questions which aren't being answered - or if they are, the answers are puzzling given what the club then did.
So the club first axes him for speaking out Then Pete comes along and asserts that actually what Sousa wasn't true

If, suppose, it did happen, and the conversation does contain the leaked information for which he got fired, then... these things are true. And that's not good.
By the way, is Sousa suing the Club?
