I see that Danny Maguire made his League 1 debut whilst on loan to Yeovil Town.
Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton when asked to comment on him by BBC Radio said " I thought he did really well. I think it was a difficult game for him with the team being so flat, but he kept it simple and passed it well ".
Like most of the other young players at QPR it's a pity he was never even given a chance at Rangers.

And then you look at Crystal Palace - who both develop youth and give them a chance.

With no coaching or managerial stability at any level at Rangers you have to wonder who decides the futures of our young players. Surely not our Sporting Director?
Also Flav's bluster about bringing through exciting young talent and longterm plans is completely at odds with what he is doing at Rangers.
We need an academy just as much as we need a decent manager if we are going to suceed and failing to invest makes me doubt his plans are indeed longterm at all.

Zed
Forget about the academy, they are not keeping any young pro's. How long is it since Steve Brown ,the head youth team coach, was sacked. Not even a mention of a replacement, what a pennypinching gang we have in charge.
My advice to all the statements etc being made. Is watch what they do - not what they say. Talk is cheap, that must be why they're talking. It costs nothing.

May be at QPR to sort out his pay off. Has certainly had no footballing input or influence since returning from the Viaregio youth tournament. Anyway what can you believe on the official site ?
