blimey mikehunt--youve done a full u-turn---it was only two weeks ago (and months prior to) you said anyone with any belief should be fully certified as they were living in lala land --and now you are leading the "we are staying up" charge. I remember superhoopsas post a few weeks ago on staying up and boy did he get a good shooing from a lot of posters! so pleased you are now in with the believers --cant wait for wednesday. true mate. and for one reason and one reason only. a new team has turned up. a team that actually seems to care, a team that actually looks like they know each other and will fight to the end for survival. disclaimer = but deep down i know we are going down, its what we do cause extreme heartbreak. certainly can tell you are a QPR fan mike (not that it was in question) they do seem to keep breaking your heart and then do the littlest of things to make up for it.

Well i think a few of us have found a bit of belief which is great providing things continue , one thing we dont have now is luxury of slip ups , results in the next 2 games or the mood and board would possibly change again .

The pattern in the last few games is that we've put in great performances against clubs at the top end of the table. We now have to prove that we can do similar towards the bottom end.

We look more organised and the players look like they actually want to stay up and fight for our club, something that has been seriously lacking for most of the season apart from one or two players

Yes nice to have 3 teams in our last 6 games in 14th,13th and 12th places , would rather these three than another 3 at the bottom , our record against the bottom teams seems we seem to play at a lower standard , dragged down to their level , however these 3 teams are just in no mans land , there all safe and should all be there for the taking if we are hungry enough . Come on Rangers pull us out of this mess , why we still have the chance.

swans are out to put the nail in our coffin ,
when a mid table safe team rests their best players so they can play against us tells me they are on a mission.
aint got a good feeling about tomorrow

Yeah its a big worry Maude , weve sort of been here before then lost to Wolves , Fulham , Bolton and Blackburn but find ourselves with a sniff , if we drew tomorrow we would have to WBA , not impossible but much prefer to get the win first . If we blow this one and WBA we would end up going down still i feel deep down , our season hinges on these 2 games in a big way . Not saying we cant beat Spurs or Stoke , just that we can up the anti on Blackburn who have only picked up 3 points from there last 5 games while we got 7 from the same amount.

A win tomorrow would be a massive psychological boost. Hopefully, Arsenal & Man Utd will do the business and we can be 3 points above 4 other teams. Points dropped would erode some of the oh so important confidence that has built up over the last few games and put massive amounts of pressure on the visit to the Hawthorns.
I'll be sat in front of the telly tomorrow, way more nervous than I was on Sunday.

cheers harlow. terrible how we look under hughes, lol But more realistically, if you had a table for the the last 8 weeks we would be mid table. mho's record when taking over teams is that it takes a couple of months for his methods to work. That is starting to happen now. I have a good feeling, especially as the football gods seem to be working in our favor in so far as Wigan and Blackburn are concerned at least!

using the link harlow gave we would be 15th sharky (8 weeks = 15th feb).
out of relegation zone only on goal difference.
so not much better then.

I think we can win both games, however if all does not work out tonight (tommorow )against the swans i am still confident we will be ok.Looking at the fixture list all the press have been concerned about is our run in.I honestly think that everyone in the bottom 5 has got a tough gig for various reasons. But our team is coming together now, we just need a bit more luck with the officials and decisions and we will be ok. Don't be surprised if we turn over Spurs,Man City, or Chelsea. It will never get harder than Saturday. Tarbs is back, Cisse is coming back with Zamora, i think its coming good at the right time.
Cheers,
Jay
