Ainsworth/QPR Official Site AINSWORTH: JUST EXPRESS YOURSELVES Posted on: Thu 16 Apr 2009 Gareth Ainsworth will send his charges to table-topping Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend with a simple message - 'Just express yourselves.' Victory for the Molineux men will guarantee their promotion back to the top-flight, but Ainsworth insists Rangers will be going there to spoil the party. "We want to finish as high as we can and go out there and enjoy our football, playing some entertaining stuff in the process," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "I'll let the players go out there and express themselves, because that's why we all love this game. That's what football is all about." However, Ainsworth believes Wolves' current position reflects their fine form this season and is under no illusions as to the size of the task facing his side. "A couple of teams have been up there and got decent results this season, but I'm under no illusions and we're expecting a very difficult game," he said. "They're top of the league for many reasons. They're a strong, powerful, excellent footballing side, who have goals all over the park, but we'll go up there and give our all to get a victory." www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1628370,00.html

If we get spanked this weekend (which I don't want) will it be (a) the managers fault or (b) the players are not good enough or (c) the Board fault for not investing in a striker.

Depends who you are aiming that question at Eus really.
The problem with Ains having a decent run with the team is the same as it was before. He would be considered for the role full time. He is malleable and liked by the fans. He lost out before after some poor results. If that happens again, he will probably be lost to the club and it would be a shame to lose that commitment and enthusiasm.

I guess that Monday's fabulous result against Wednesday was used as an illustration that actually there is little wrong with the club and some seem to have moved on (a lot quicker than me I confess). My point was if come Saturday these weaknesses reappear who will carry the can or are we in a honeymoon period?

As we know from previous experience, this can change in a whim. From a supporters point of view (mine) we are in a state of flux so I wouldn't really blame or praise anyone. I'd take a win at Wolves, don't get me wrong. ;D If we get done there I would not be surprised and it would obviously not reflect upon our season as a whole nor our future for next season. This season is over for us so it's a case of playing for fun without pressure. Can't think of many in the team that are playing for a new contract. A bit like my lad's team, Cobham Park Rangers ;D last Sunday week, nothing to win, drew 1-1 with the team at the top and could well have stopped them winning the title. That was good, they were not happy, we were.
