Very bizarre. And also shown on the big screen. Beyond bizarre. Unsettling

Smoke and mirrors, nothing more. The statement read out was solely to rebuke allegations in todays papers concerning the departures of DeCanio and Harford. Absolutely nothing to do with Sousa and the weeks previous events. There have been rumours and gossip printed in the press long before today and the club has not read out such statements before a game before. Not even in recent times in regards to Waddock or Holloway for example so it certainly is not club policy. What this does serve to do is muddy the waters. Everyone is looking at us at the moment so in order to confuse the issue and deflect attention this is thrust into the prominence. Simple misdirection. It also serves as a conveyance of trust to the fans, don't worry we are not the bad boys everyone is saying we are, you can trust us. Is this what they pay spin doctors, sorry PR, for? What a waste of money. Truly bizarre!

Isnt it also that they are on the defensive, feeling under siege for what the press are writing.

Isnt it also that they are on the defensive, feeling under siege for what the press are writing. But surely they saw this coming or are they so detached? Do they pay people to check the internet yet not check the pulse of public opinion or are the sycophants always telling them yes of course you're right

They are certainly on the defensive. Though hardly under seige! Surely they must be used to bad stories in the press. They just laid it on a bit to thick today. Certainly confused the majority of fans around me as everyone just looked at each other saying 'What?'. Where was the statement fully refuting Sousa's denials? That would of been a lot more relevant.

You get fired when you don't.

You know you try and put yourself in THEIR shoes. Not that YOU might want something. But how it advances (or harms) THEIR agenda. And even from what is good for Mr. Briatore and Mr. Paladini: I don't see how this helped. But hey its their money!
