Beware Briatore, Dennis is clearly Wise when it comes to money
Nobody's fool: Potential new QPR boss Dennis Wise
Whatever Newcastle fans think of him, Dennis Wise is clearly nobody's fool when it comes to money. After picking up a £1.5 million payoff from St James' Park, the former Millwall, Swindon and Leeds manager is in the frame for the QPR vacancy.
Now Flavio Briatore and his board may not know what sort of boss they want - young, English, foreign and experienced have all walked through their revolving door - but they don't seem to be afraid of potentially costly contract terminations. Wise is actually a decent enough manager to improve the mediocrity at QPR but he won't be afraid of standing up to the chairman. So if he gets the job another big pay day will undoubtedly follow soon after.

I just hope that the Club take a little bit of time - there's no rush for the next few weeks - and really do their homework
Not just jump at the first name that someone reads in the Daily Mail or The Mirror!

Agree. There' no rational reason to appoint Wise right now. If he gets away and joins Brighton. Oh well. This is not some young Terry Venables or Gerry Francis we have to grab before some other club signs them up.
A case could be made for Wise. A case could be made for Dowie. Or Ince or Ferguson. But none are so great that we'd have lost out on an appointment of a life time
