QPR LOOK AT WISE MOVE FOR DENNIS
NEW JOB?: Wise is in the hunt for QPR post
By Gareth Bebb Have your say(0) DENNIS WISE is poised for a swift return to football by becoming the new manager of QPR.
Wise has held talks with co-owner Flavio Briatore and chairman Gianni Paladini and is expected to be installed in the next 24 hours after the dismissal of Paulo Sousa.
Former Millwall and Leeds manager Wise was born near Loftus Road and grew up a big QPR fan. His appointment comes too late to prevent their season dribbling away towards mid-table mediocrity – not helped by displays such as this.
But if he watches a tape of this match for homework, he will see a Burnley showing that should convince any doubters they can be the real deal at the business end of the season.

Could be a good appointment, he's done well as a manager.....but will he be allowed to manage? There's no point having a "manager" or "coach" at QPR at the moment if his hands are tied by briatore.

Would have thought they would have gone for the "popular" choice even if it wasn't the greatest choice. If it's Wise, they've gone for neither.

Someone told me he said he wasn't a QPR fan but his Dad is!
Doesn't make any difference tho - if we get him, what on earth can WE do about it.
Like I've said elsewhere on here (and elsewhere on the 'boards) - I just wish we wouldn't knee-jerk an appointment but take the time necessary to look around.
There are plenty of good managers who may be persuaded to come to us - I've just read elsewhere someone throwing Paul Jewell's name in the ring, or Avram Grant (dont yell at me, it's just names I've read being bandied about!)
