" The" Poster Speaks up on the WATRB board - Although he really has nothing to aplogize for - which is the almost the universal view on all the QPR boards"I must admit that im really pleased to see people sticking up for me and i would like to thank you people. To tell you the truth i wish i had never posted that message because to think that i contributed to Paulo being sacked makes me feel sick. The guy was an absolute gentleman and to think that i caused all this hurts. I didnt say wot i said to get him sacked, that couldnt be further from the truth. I said it because i wanted people to no what was going on behind the scenes and what a shambles our club has become. Im sincerley sorry to any supporter i may have caused distress to or angered over this. QPR is a massive part of my life and the last thing i want is to not be able to follow my team because people hate me." On WATRB www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7456&page=2

And WATRB explain their posting policy (but not Pete's inside knowledge post) We Are The Rangers Boys statement - please read The Administrators of WATRB would like to reiterate that members, and not the Moderating Team or Administrators, are responsible for any statements and claims they may make on this forum. In the event that any information of a damaging or threatening nature is posted the owners of WATRB will cooperate with the Authorities and will assist with the identification of individuals through their IP and e-mail addresses in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Meanwhile Pete claims exoneration and should move on. But of course the questions previously posed about the role of WATRB and Pete's "inside knowledge' remain deliberately unanswered What Questions? These questions As posted on my WATRB Blog Today The Simple Questions That Pete Refuses to Answer Posted Today at 12:30 PM by QPR Report -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Much prevarication and attempts to distort the issue. No one is suggesting "This Site" got Sousa fired. People have suggested that Pete promoted an Axe-Sousa agenda with a slew of posts over the past month. And the question of whether Pete was acting as a "Stalking Horse" for anyone with the club remains unanswered. More pertinantly: On that thread from that poster - which Pete protested on other sites that he really wasn't aware of until late in the day: Pete posted this statement "[T]he Portugal defender was wanted for £300,000 for which Sousa would have got a cut" Again: Sure sounds like Pete was citing confidential inside information to me. I've posed this question repeatedly. Pete has repeatedly refused to respond to my query and this same query posed by others. As for the rest: The fact that the post remained for so long. The thread was then locked with the caption "Due to legal implications this thread is now locked awaiting legal advice." and later removed with the post from Myu: "On advice we have deleted the thread. WATRBs cannot comment further at the time." So it also makes wonder who was giving that legal advice; and why that post was subsequently put back up on WATRB - The Day that Sousa was axed. It also poses the question about what contacts any club official or representative had with WATRB Moderators regarding that post, between the time the post first went up and the time that Sousa was axed. WAITING FOR PETE'S BANNING EXPLANATION Meanwhile still waiting for either an apology or an explanation for why Pete imposed a WATRB ban on me. The other WATRB moderators very kindly posted QPReport WATRB ban lifted "On behalf of the WATRB team of administrators and moderators I would like to apologise for this ban that is now lifted. From what I have learned, it was caused by a misunderstanding and the decision was, unfortunately, rushed due to the posting frenzy we were having to deal with. We have a due process for banning and it was ignored. I and other hard-working members of the team will do our best to ensure this does not happen again." But not a word from Pete why it happened. www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/blog.php?b=157

Kinda feel sorry for the Poster of the original thread. I guess his heart was in the right place and probably would not realise just how low some people might allegedly go to use it in their cause to remove someone allegedly from their job.

allegedly!
Back on the topic, aftyer reading "The Posters" response, I can appreciate how gutted he feels over the situation. Not his fault that he was coming forth with what he believed would be interesting to fellow fans. I'm glad too he realises that there isn't a witch hunt after him. Good grief we are too mature to be like that. Perhaps not allegedly inside the club but certainly outside it.

Hi guys, I p'm a mod on WATRB when I first noticed it, 30 mins after it appeared, asking for it to be removed pronto, because some of the content was potentially damaging. I received an immediate reply saying you're right. But nothing happened for another few hours, then it was locked, and then re-instated.
It's all history now, but with some other events that also occured about the post during its transmission, there was something about the handling of it that wasn't right. Just wanted to register my observations.

Thanks Steve. Welcome to the site. And hopefully you'll continue posting. Do you remember what time the thread was first started (or at least what time you pmd the site)? I just know that thread went on and on. And that Pete himself made the "notorious" Portugese player contribution to that thread (and maybe others as well). I don't remember. I know what they've said. Any other site, we wouldn't be having this debate. We might be saying "screw up" or "bad choice" but nothing beyond.
As you may have seen, various people have asked and asked Pete, but his answers don't really answer; and leave answers remaining to be answered! Then he threw in the "legal" word and then embarked on a slew of QPR Report bashing. (I guess I'm his relief valve!)
There are the questions: How the club found out: Do they really people travailing all the boards 24 hours a day - even what one would imagine was their favourite site. How the club got to the actual poster remains unclear as well.

That was a waste of time.
The link is a poll not an apology from the poster.
Didn't bother reading it all obviously.

Thank you Mike, I will. The post went up about 1pm, I remembered thinking, most at the club will probably be on dinner break now when I saw it at 1.30. Got a response from bennyboys a couple of minutes later. About 400 views at 1.30, 1,000 about an hour later, and then finishing about 4,000.
wozza said he'd put it on the offy but had deleted it straight away. This was countered later when I complained again, by scott saying it was on the offy first, as to why it was allowed to eventually remain.
wozza was also encouraged to put it up on other boards asap, in that first 30 mins. can't remember by who. This just didn't feel right, and I was conscious that qbp was a bit anti PS at that time, but then dismissed it, as qbp likes to provoke debate. In hind sight , I should have pm'd wozza and asked him to have another think about it, but thought the MB would have known what to do.
Pete has also countered it by saying, PS had already said the same things to other people, Who are they? The "cut" thing was mentioned, but can't remember by who. To me it stinks and I'm not happy it, even now.

this is the message that I pm'd a mod on here within 1/2 an hour of that post coming out, why was it allowed to run, was it seen as a scoop or something? All that was needed to be done was for wazza to rephrase his post, leaving out PS's name. __________________ . "Logic is the art of going wrong with complete confidence".......

Welcome Steve.
This all sounded dodgy to me from the start and the more I hear the worse it gets.
Even if it was originally posted with good intention then why was it not taken down by a mod? And then there is QockPetes allegation against PS...
The whole thing stinks.

Pete today on dot.org - on a thread re axing Sousa, and I mentioned re Sousa comments re Helguson "just for the record Helgusson never failed a medical, played and scored for Iceland 3 days before signing for QPR, nice piece on the official web-site, the day he signed." qprdot.org/viewtopic.php?t=36355&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45

Easy to be played, easy to become a stooge without realising till its too late. You think you are doing whats right but..a big but..some people know what they are doing! I fell into that trap once, even though I know what I do, sad thing is it is easy to turn things. I feel for the poster, his intentions were good, the outcome not!
For some I think they also care too much, try too hard and it goes pete tong, been there got the t-shirt, now I would be a little more subtle.
Others well, I leave you to judge, somethings are bigger to some than QPRFC!

Right: So three questions
Did he actually speak?
Did he say what he was to reported to have said?
Was What he said, True/Correct?
Depending on the answers to these three questions, other questions then follow.
