Assuming of course the messageboard views reflects the general fan view, which may not be the case, of course.
And it says something that Sousa, with not that great record and with a one up policy, still elicited such support.
I guess the departure of Ian Holloway to some degree (and especially the manner in which he left)...And The First Departure of Gerry Francis....And at the very top, Venables departure in 1984.

I thought the firing of Don Howe was very poor but led to the golden era of GF but frankly Howe had build a pretty good team
