One of the arguments against Sousa that I read: He doesn't know the Championship. Well at this point in time, Sousa and De Canio know the Championship equally.
Sousa was a coach of immense potential. De Canio is a journeyman Italian coach who's been at a dozen clubs, each for a year or two. The results were not THAT good last year under De Canio: And he had Vine, Buzsaky etc not given to Sousa... And as I've said, returning managers rarely match their first period.

Agree with Report. IMO it's a case of rose tinted glasses with LDC. A handy puppet for the club, keeps GP in a job and makes some fans happy.
When the feel good factor of the take over died down we were left with an LDC team that only played for 80 mins, a terrible defence and a lot of the players and staff had very little respect for him. They took the p1ss out of him FFS! I don't think he has what it takes to get us promoted let alone compete in the premier league.
Sousa was a different class.

I still think if Chris Wright had stuck with him and no Kevin Gallen injury we'd have shot right back. After all he had improved his signings bringing in Steve Slade. (Ok forget that last sentence!)

That's ok. Don't see how Paladini fits in. If we're going for a manager. He HAS to be in full control. And he has to be given time. Otherwise this won't work, I don't think. We can't have the Italian system of buying the players and an English manager. Of course this is a little more low key that where we're coming from and what we expected when they took over.
