I'd imagine pretty self-evidently, the team will take this as a blow. More defeats to come starting at Burnley. And bad luck on Ainsworth for having to be the recipient of this.

Well to be fair someone has to be in charge. Personally I'd say Briatore and Paladini should be the ones since they want the job. But hey. And we don't have an Assistant Manager. Who else is there?

Mr. Report Your first sentence says it all. Someone has to be IN CHARGE.
Ainsworth was a willing ball chaser and little else in his playing career, has no qualifiations and no experience of coaching and should not be in control of a club in the turmoil that is QPR.
A strong experienced manager is the requirement here but the amount of board room interference will strictly limit the applicants. We are a ship in storm with no rudder.

Agree with all of that Grumpy. The club is a joke.

The size of debt at the club must be approaching the level of equity left in the value of the ground. This would mean that any substantial future spending will have to be funded more directly by the owners themselves. This is something they appear reluctant to do at this moment in time when we consider the severe cut backs in expenditure in all sectors of the club.
Could somebody please tell me how we are going to attract a manager of repute to QPR in the present situation. No job security, no money and no respect.

Denis Wise? Roy Keane? El Tel? Let the speculation begin but should whoever take over as manager/Coach, be warned to stay away from looking at the accounts! And choosing a team, choosing tactics.

Dennis Wise might take it. But Keane? Don't like him. But he is the antithesis of what Briatore wants. On the other hand, can just imagine a Keane confrontation with Paladini (maybe make Vinnie Jones his assistant manager): We WANT this player. Get him!

I'm afraid the only applicants for this job might be those who don't mind the sack for the sake of a large pay-off.i.e. No real interest in the club
