NICE COMMENT TRIBAL Football Former Manchester City academy chief Jim Cassell is happy seeing Nedum Onuoha land on his feet at QPR. Onuoha completed his switch last Friday. “Nedum’s going to be meeting up with a couple of ex-City team-mates in Joey and Shaun, and Mark Hughes knows all about what he can do,” Cassell told the Manchester Evening News. “Nedum is the ultimate professional. He will never change. I understand that life moves on and changes happen, but I’m very sorry to see him go.” www.tribalfootball.com/articles/ex-man-city-chief-cassell-happy-onuoha-over-qpr-move-2662941?utm_source=main_feed

There's cake...And then there's icing... ANd who knows how big the budget truly is. BUt if we don't a couple of strikers (main one and back up) I think everything else is nice, but we'll still go down...Need goalscoring. Relying on Helguson who may break down any second... Have you not heard Hulse is back?

Lol .. Why ? What's he done so far and how do you see him in 442 ? Apologies, I was unable to offer more than that last evening! This much vaunted flat 4 4 2 that Hughes plays, can you tell me where wright-phillips fits in to this? Taarabt could do what he's doing far more skillfully. Equally, he could be one of the two up top. He is our best footballer, not seen a better one regardless of all the signings.

From eye football.com
Chelsea have turned down an offer from Queens Park Rangers for French winger Florent Malouda. The left sided winger submitted a transfer request to the Blues in December, which has been accepted by Andre Villas-Boas, and the player's representatives have been busy finding a new opportunity for the former Lyon man. Reports from his homeland France had linked former club Lyon with a move and an emotional return to "Les Gones", however eyefootball.com understands that their first and only offer was rejected. Some reports of a move to ambitious French side Paris St Germain then emerged, but with some concerns over not just Malouda's pricetag, but his declining performances last season.
Queens Park Rangers' manager Mark Hughes has grown increasingly frustrated in his efforts to sign players from abroad, and therefore contacted Chelsea regarding the availability of duo Alex and Florent Malouda. This week, Brazilian defender Alex joined Paris St Germain, but Malouda's future remains up in the air.
QPR's offer to take Malouda on loan has been rejected as Chelsea are only interested in selling the player permanently, and there are some concerns that the R's would not be able to sign the player on a full time basis at the end of the season. That would depend on their Premier League status, as well.
The R's are now busy discussing internally whether they can match the reported 6.3 million Euro price tag so that they can sign Malouda permanently before Tuesday.

Defender Bradley Orr has been made available by QPR ahead of the transfer deadline. The 29-year-old was told prior to Neil Warnock’s sacking as manager that his future probably lay elsewhere. And with the signing of Nedum Onuoha having pushed him further down the pecking order, Orr will be allowed to leave Loftus Road either on a permanent basis or on loan if an offer is made. Warnock’s successor Mark Hughes placed a temporary block on players leaving the club in order to assess his squad, but has now paved the way for Orr to move on. Two Championship clubs have shown an interest in the full-back, who joined Rangers from Bristol City in the summer of 2010 in what was effectively an exchange deal involving Damion Stewart. He played over 250 times for City during six years at Ashton Gate and has made 39 league appearances for QPR, six of them coming this season. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/defender-orr-set-for-loftus-road-exit/

Diakite agrees QPR move Mali give midfielder permission to undergo Loftus Road medical Last Updated: January 29, 2012 1:26pm Samba Diakite: Nancy midfielder has agreed to join Queens Park Rangers on loan Sky Bet Nancy president Jacques Rousselot has confirmed Samba Diakite has agreed to join Queens Park Rangers on loan for the rest of the season. QPR boss Mark Hughes acknowledged his interest in Diakite on Friday, with the midfielder currently on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Mali. However, the 23-year-old has been given permission by Mali coach Alain Giresse to travel to England to undergo a medical ahead of completing a move to Loftus Road. Lyon had been interested in signing Diakite, who can also play in defence, but the player has opted for a switch to the Premier League. Agreed "Alain Giresse, coach of Mali, agreed that Samba could go to England to complete his loan," said Rousselot in L'Equipe. "It will be a loan with an option to buy if QPR are still in the Premier League at the end of the season." A fee of €4million (£3.4m) has been agreed for a permanent deal and Diakite could now join Nedum Onuoha and Taye Taiwo as new signings at QPR. He will help to fill the void created by the injury to Alejandro Faurlin and Hughes has not ruled out further captures before the close of the transfer window. www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/7464017/Diakite-agrees-QPR-move

I think 4 more will be signed. Diakate looks pretty certain to sign and I think a winger and maybe two new strikers as well.

Pondering everyone by golly QPR will decide on Monday whether to table a pre-deadline bid for Chris Samba in the hope it will persuade Blackburn to let the defender go. Rangers have had two approaches for Samba rejected by Rovers, who insist he is not for sale despite him making it clear he wants to leave. But with the player claiming he is no longer likely to give 100% for his current club, it is believed that a final offer could yet prise him away from Ewood Park. Hughes is likely to be a busy man on deadline day. Tottenham are also interested in the 27-year-old, who played under QPR boss Mark Hughes at Blackburn. And Rangers are aware that Samba moving to north rather than west London would result in Spurs’ Sebastien Bassong becoming available. In August the R’s thought they were signing Bassong on loan with a view to a permanent move, but the deal fell through when Tottenham were unable to complete the signing of Gary Cahill. Determined to sign at least one centre-back, Rangers approached this transfer window expecting to buy Nedum Onuoha and hoping to capture one of Samba, Bassong or Brazil international Alex. Onuoha duly completed his move from Manchester City, but Blackburn are reluctant to part with Samba and Rangers were unable to persuade Alex to join them rather than Paris St-Germain. On Monday the club are also expected to follow up their recent interest in Hugo Rodallega with a firm offer. Wigan have indicated that they are willing to sell the Colombian forward, whose contract expires later this year. Hughes is also keen to strengthen his midfield and as well the defensively minded Samba Diakite – whose move from Nancy has been agreed – he would like to sign a more attacking player. If Tottenham cannot be talked into a pre-deadline deal for Steven Pienaar, Hughes plans to pursue the South African or Stephen Ireland at the end of the season. A move for Aston Villa’s Ireland, who played under Hughes at Manchester City, was discussed. But Rangers quickly established that they are likely to have a greater chance of landing him in the summer. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-ponder-bids-for-blackburn-defender-samba-and-wigan-forward-rodallega/?

I think we could afford him but I doubt very much he would want to come when Arsenal and Man City are also interested. Why would you go from top scorer for a title winning Bundesliga side to us??

KiaJ -------------------------------------------------------- QPR’s Winning of Samba Diakite Race Explained by Nancy President Sunday, 29th January, 2012 Nancy president Jacques Rousselot has admitted that midfielder Samba Diakite is on his way to English Premier League outfit Queens Park Rangers and explained how the Mali man’s move to Lyon broke down. Les Gones were well ahead in the race to snap up Diakite from their Ligue 1 rivals, but Rousselot has claimed agents have been behind the turnaround. "They will pay for a loan with the option to purchase if they are in the Premier League at the end of the season", the Nancy president commented about QPR’s move for the player. It is quite a change for Diakite, who was expected to end up at the Stade Gerland. "There was kind of a settling of accounts between agents", said the Nancy chief, explaining the changed destination.Diakite is expected in London today for his medical with QPR.

Don't think Lyon who are a huge French club, currently 4th in Ligue 1 & still in the Champions League would be interested unless he was a good player

Djibril Cisse , who arrived last summer in Lazio, Italy already left to go back in familiar territory, England. Indeed, the French striker will be loaned to Queens Park Rangers, promoted to the Premier League this season until the end of the current year, with an option to purchase an estimated 5 million. However, the transfer will be formalized by the parties concerned when Keisuke Honda, waited in Biancocelesti, has also confirmed his departure from CSKA Moscow. At 30, Djibril Cisse is therefore up to his first love. Just months after he left Greece for Italy and Lazio, international tricolor is ready to go to Queens Park Rangers for a loan with option to purchase until the end of the year. According to information Football.fr all the necessary paperwork had been signed on the evening of Saturday, but the new has not yet been formalized by the two clubs. translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.football.fr/footballfr/cmc/transferts/201204/djibril-cisse-va-etre-prete-aux-queens-park-rangers_120898.html%3Ffeatureshome-page&ei=7YglT4n-PIKg0QX_4pTOCg&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CEIQ7gEwAQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3DDjibril%2BCisse%2BL%25E2%2580%2599Equipe%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26sa%3DX%26tbo%3D1%26rls%3Den%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D642%26tbs%3Dqdr:d%26prmd%3Dimvnso

I think the club are being very sensible with these deals. If we get relegated we won't have huge wages to contend with in the Championship and the board won't have to spend until the summer.
I do still expect some money to be spent before 11pm Tuesday.
Something else I just thought of, won't we have exceeded our loan limit with Diakite?? Will we have to send Macheda back??
