Diakite loan would be handy to take a look at him for 16 games first bit like Taiwo . Queens Park Rangers line up striker Djibril Cissé from Lazio• Former Liverpool player has endured frustrating time in Italy • Cissé may be joined at Loftus Road by Mali's Samba Diakité guardian.co.uk, Friday 27 January 2012 22.17 GMT Article history Lazio's Djibril Cissé could be bound for Loftus Road. Photograph: Antonio Calanni/AP Queens Park Rangers hope to secure the services of the former Liverpool forward Djibril Cissé from Lazio in the next few days as they bolster their forward ranks before Tuesday's transfer deadline. The France international, who won the European Cup with the Anfield club in 2005 after joining for £14m from Auxerre, has endured a frustrating time in Rome since arriving from Panathinaikos last summer but would cost around £4m to secure on a permanent basis. Alternatively a loan deal may be struck for the 30-year-old, though the Italian club will let the forward leave only if they first find a replacement. Cissé, who has been capped 41 times and had a loan spell at Sunderland in the Premier League, has found his opportunities limited at Lazio with Miroslav Klose also at the club. He could be joined as part of Mark Hughes's recruitment spree by the Mali international midfielder Samba Diakité, who is close to completing a loan move from Nancy with QPR having an option to make the transfer permanent for around £3.5m in the summer. www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jan/27/djibril-cisse-qpr

Would swap for adel .. Not sure we can accommodate in Hughes 442 system and unsure he can cut it in the prem! Right ... Give it too me .. Shoot me down! He's scored wherever he's been and if does for two seasons and keeps us up this year .. Trust Hughes to find the right replacement when we need too but striker scoring is more important than sulky prima donna

I certainly hope Hughes can sort Adel out, and if can then we have someone who can create so much and can change a game in an instant. The sulking will stop when he realises QPR is a serious club with intent and will show us more respect when he sees the likes of those coming in, his big flaw will then be giving the ball away too cheaply. That can be worked on. I would say the plusses outweigh the minuses.
The other thing to consider too is, Adel is quoted as saying he is looking forward to returning to England and meeting with Mr Hughes to see what happens. that suggests to me he is looking for a new contract and for loads more money and if he doesn't get it he will look to leave in the summer anyway. His advisors will make sure of that. What he needs to do is: a) prove that he deserves a new deal and b) put himself in shop window therefore giving him options in the summer. Personally i hope he does the business and keeps us up this season. Beyond that, you just don't know with Adel, looking 6 months ahead is difficult enough, having a long term plan with him is impossible.

Hogan .. Good point but we need goals and would he get those? .. I really need a good striker in He certainly showed last season he has goals in him and he also showed he can create plenty for others too. He was the difference between top 6 or top 8 and champions last season. Not suggesting he is ready yet (if ever, due to his attitude not ability) to have the same impact as last year but he offers us something completely different. Besides keeping him does not equate to forgoing a striker does it?

I cant way to see how Adel plays under Hughes , i know that Bowen will get him into shape he wont like that , but he needs to get on with it , think ADEL has a big part to play in keeping us up !

Cosset .. Was meant to be cisse Ok glad you clarified, thought you were making an admission ;D As for Adel fitting into a 442, i don't know how. Perhaps playing on the left but that would require a strong disciplined left back behind him. That is afterall the job of MH and his staff, i am sure though that if Adel gets his read right and MH feels that he can tap into his ability then it can surely be achieved. SAF managed to nurture the raw talent of Christiano Ronaldo. The first time i saw Adel it reminded me in many ways of a young Christiano. It can be done, in part it is down to to the player and in part the manager. Our Neil managed it afterall.

Hogan , think cop out .. All shoot down adel doubters but excuse him for ability but weakens team that he has to be accommodated .. We are not now that in the prem can pander to him! .. We aren't that big squad club to make our shaPe around him . Everyone needs to do there part and buzz has shown he can but can u say where adel strengthens?
