Harry said he doesnt really want any new signings just spoke on talksport. Only player he really likes is Cahill , didnt even mention Samba and Hoillett. He said he defence was pretty good already and he has Bassong as back up so not sure if he will let him go . Reckon Samba is between us and the overseas interest.

At Spurs Samba would be fighting Dawson, Kaboul, King, Gallas and Bassong for 2 central defensive slots.
Spurs only problem at CB is that the ones they have can't stay healthy

But at Spurs, Samba would be fighting to play for a team which COULD win the Premiership Title or the FA Cup and have a very reasonable chance of playing in the European Cup (whatever it's called) next season...

Spurs only problem at CB is that the ones they have can't stay healthy Did you see Kaboul yesterday? He was shocking. And he wouldn't be fighting Bassong (come on); Samba's better, more trusted. And Gallas and King (and Dawson) are injury-prone. But we have a chance just because Samba is convinced we're gonna stay with Hughes, a manager that he likes, knows and trusts.

Wait does that mean he's only scored twice in 20 games?? The soccerway says he played 14 and scored 4 in Primera. But is he better than Bothroyd? I'm disappointed/worried we're not being linked with any midfielders. Central in particular.

Put it this way, we could get a striker who 3 seasons ago was worth £18m, for just £1m. Bit of a bargain don't you think?? He was brilliant at Blackburn but has lost form and become a bit of an outsider since joining Man City. I reckon another player who Hughes could get the best out of. At only £1m I would be alright with that signing.

Because? At 1mil he's no (longer) bargain? He's a good player, good targetman. I hope we use his useful services, because otherwise... we should change everybody and find someone better for each spot.

Not been a good day then with that and with Kean saying Samba is going knowhere today! But Chris says: "The most important thing is to find an ambitious club. I would love to experience something different." Not sure if QPR is that 'different' he's looking for.

Deff need a central midfielder, heard a whisper for Gibson. I also got a feeling SWP and Bothroyd are going to shine under Hughes.

I'd be surprised if now we bring in anyone into CM as a stop gap...Rowlands played for the reserve, Doughty could play as could Connolly (none of them perfect). I just don't see the value in bringing in someone for one game who'll then sit on the bench when Barton is back. If they bring someone now he'll be a fixture in the team at least until next season. Perhaps someone flippin' foreign #ironic cackle

Hang on? We're lining up Gibson? Is that what's been said here? All reports say Man Utd have made a £2 million offer.

Yep unfortunately, no matter how much you try to avoid it, the nature of the transfer beast is that a lot of the deals are done in that final week. I'm not expecting anyone new to line up v Newcastle on Sunday but am expecting a fresh bunch of players, scrapping for positions in front of a new manager.
