No surprise this story. But appears more Tabloid speculation than any inside QPR source.Sunday People - Dennis Wise has eye on QPR job - DENNIS WISE is looking for a way straight back into management - with one eye on his boyhood idols QPR. - The former Leeds boss, sacked last week as executive director of football at Newcastle, would relish the chance to mastermind QPR's chase for the Premier League, should under-pressure Hoops chief Paulo Sousa be axed. - Toon owner Mike Ashley is understood to have paid around£ 1. 5million to terminate Wise's Newcastle deal, which had just over a year to run. - But there were no clauses to prevent Wise from returning to football just as soon as he wants. - Londoner Wise, 42, was never required to be based in Newcastle and kept his home in Buckinghamshire, from where he intends to commute to his next job. - Ashley's decision to bring the former Chelsea player to Toon was never liked by fans, and they were dubbed the 'Cockney Mafia'. - Wise last managed Leeds before quitting to join Newcastle in January 2008 www.people.co.uk/sport/football/tm_headline=dennis-wise-has-eye-on-qpr-job&method=full&objectid=21255344&siteid=93463-name_page.html

Please, please, PERLEEZE tell me this is just another hack from the press wanting to sell copy?
I'd shoot myself before coming to LR if Dennis Wise were in charge of us . . .

This is just another piece of lazy journalism. It's what I call a 'timing' story. Wise has just been made unemployed. He supports QPR. He lives down south. QPR, allegedly, are thinking about restructuring their coaching set up. Lazy journalist puts 2 + 2 together and comes up with 5! It also follows on from previous unsubstantiated rumours printed in the same paper and seemingly by association gives weight to the previous stories, making them look more credible. There are no solid facts to link Wise to QPR in any way except that he is a QPR fan*, is unemployed and lives in the south, so thats all there is to this story. The rest is in the head of a lazy journalist who probably never left his desk to confirm his theory as there is nothing to back it up. *a QPR fan who proudly lifted the FA Cup for C*****a with his son dressed in a C******a shirt. That to me, is unforgivable. Poor kid has to live with that image for the rest of his life. Oh, the shame!

Owner Mike Ashley has paid the club’s executive director (football) a full year’s salary as part of the fresh start under Alan Shearer.
