Sorry if there's a separate thread on this and I presume you've all seen the trailer floating around for while.
Read today that it is being premiered (in Marbella, Spain) in less than a month.
Anyone have any idea if this is being slated for television soon-ish, and/or whether it's going to come out on DVD?

Cheers. I think the awkwardness/explosiveness of the content will ensure it being picked up by football fans in general. If it's handled well (which it appears to have been), then this is going to be a real insight not just for us, but for any football fan interested or concerned about what goes on behind closed doors at a football club. Look at the popularity of stuff like Orient for a Fiver. I don't think I could care less about Leyton Orient, but I could watch John Sitton offering players out in the dressing room over and over again. I'm probably going to be watching it through my fingers, but I can't wait.

Couple of my mates live out there and are going to the preview showing, one is Rangers.
Might well be snapped up by Channel 4.

Could you get your mate to sit quietly at the back with a handycam? Burn a load and sell them down the market on a match days... ;D

The great thing: However disturbing or outrageous the documentary, we know it has a happy ending!

Now that we have ownership and management in place that have lifted the clubs bad name out of the gutter, there is no need to be embarrassed. In fact we may gain some sympathy for having to suffer from the three amigos.

I really want to know the answer to that question as I really want to see the film. I doubt it will be on TV but hopefully it will be released on DVD. Thru work I know of several terrestrial TV stations looking at broadcasting the documentary within Europe and at least 3 digital stations and several distribution companies as well. There will probably be a very small run of DVD physicals but it will definitely be available on line for download by the end of the year. I've seen a preview copy and thought it was alright. It doesn't tell the story of what actually happened, just a story from it's own point of view that is forced upon the viewer, much like the recent Brian Clough film that tells it's story from one certain perspective. Much like any other documentary, though. It's not in the same class as the Barcelona documentary that gave a much fuller picture of the overall story and I doubt it will be shown by the 5 main terrestrial channels, Channel 4 prefer to shown their own documentaries or ones made by a certain pool of production companies, but I expect it will be shown on a digital channel, my bet is still BBC 4. I expect we will find out in 3-4 weeks.

Does it have a happy ending? Does Tony Fernandes come riding in on his white horse?

I thought of True Stories on tuesday nights on More4 for this documentary.
The Barcelona documentary wont be topped, Joan Laporta & all of the Barca directors were / are hugely in to football first & foremost, the people that own our great clubs like Manchester United & Liverpool dont even know the rules of the sport they are watching, they know how much money they can make out of the worldwide TV rights gravy train though.

That's a heckuva poster! Egads... I can't watch.. it'll be like watching a train wreck! (with a happy ending) Fernandes lands at Heathrow at the controls of a 747. Kevin Pieterson is co-pilot! I hope they show Adel's home town in Morocco!

That is a flash poster.
I think fellow QPR fans should give the hotdogs & popcorn a miss at the cinema & opt for a large pinch of salt when viewing this for the first time.
That's what I'll be doing.
