From the 'arra' tavern, you would have got the 18 bus to college park then the 220 (very last trolley bus in london) to the r's.
Stop dreaming. ;D

Fantastic z. CP. Often took the 18, but my dream was about the 628, they were renumbered.Had to change at the Scrubs., for Scrubs lane. Lived in Harlesden then but moved to Stonebridge Park, with the Arrer Tavern. Could walk across the L.N.E.R tracks to Wembley Stadium. Corona good but preferred Tizer.

Did the 628 run down Harrow Road then turn right into Scrubs Lane at College Park?

Righto but it started at Jubilee clock. 630 turned around at Harrow Road went to Hammersmith and Croydon or Clapham but that couldve been 628. The other list is buses and places I know. thanks, will printout.

There are some impressive films on YouTube of the old trolleybuses around the Green and going off to Twickenham or wherever. My memories are of the 657 and others, including the 'mark of the beast' itself, the 666.
Great photo above.

Very classy. Now can you put under the wheels of the bus, a mini-Stamford Bridge?

a more esoteric thread you will not find in Christendom ;D ;D I'm not certain but I think the phrase 'Off your trolley' relates to a trolley car coming off it's power lines. Nice work on the photo Mark.

Thanks to everyone and Mark full marks. Deep appreciation. Also to Mike. We are a team The Report Geezers.
Can still remember Reg Allen jumping off a Trolleybus at Craven Park. He was wearing a smart tan belted Raincoat, carrying a shopping bag, and wearing a colourful scarf. the black wavy hair. It was like meeting G-D. Too spellbound to breathe.

Zed, off your trolley might refer to a hospital trolley?

Good stuff zed, I loved Dixon of Dock Green, jolly nice chap. Also, in the opening sequence, the first thing you see is a trolley bus ;D Amazingly, when the police car turns right, it has miraculously vanished! Still not found any more on the 628, might give my uncle a ring.
